The Partiologist: Candy Corn Cupcakes!

Candy Corn Cupcakes!

Okay, so maybe this will not be the best of my candy corn ideas, but I wanted to pass it along anyway.

Candy Corn Cupcakes

I found these little cupcake cases and picks at Joann Fabrics.

And thought I could dress them up a bit.

So I added some googly eyes and a black bow.

Baked some cupcakes and colored the batter black.

Sorry, forgot to take a photo, but I'm sure you get the idea.

And decorated with white frosting, black, orange and yellow jimmies and of course the little candy corn topper.

They were so cute, I had to put them on a pedestal!

And what do you know - I found some scrapbook paper that would coordinate perfectly!  So I made a little Candy Corn Party Cracker!

I used the scrapbook paper, orange card stock and black and yellow tissue paper.

First measure the orange paper around the tube, cut and set aside.

Then wrap the tube with black tissue paper, leaving about six inches past each end.

Then I wrapped it with the yellow tissue paper.

I cut the edges with my scalloped paper cutter.

Now add the orange paper around the tube.

Both ends should have extra black and yellow tissue paper sticking out.

Then measure and cut the candy corn paper, wrap it around the middle of the orange paper.

Oh, don't forget to fill the little Candy Corn Cracker with candy, I used Sixlets placed in a little bag!

Cut the ends of the tissue paper in strips.  Tie each side with ribbon and crinkle the paper.

There, now you have a cute little set of Candy Corn Cupcakes and a Candy Corn Party Cracker!

I have to sneak around when no one in the family knows I'm making all this stuff or they'll put me in the Candy Corn Loony Bin!
