The Partiologist: Mini Cone Pops!

Mini Cone Pops!

How about something just for Fun,
On the Beach or in the Sun?

Mini cake pops on a stick,
Go ahead and have a lick!

Cone Cake Pops

I apologize for that little rhyme.  You will forgive me when you find out you don't need to bake the cake in the cones, it's cake pop batter!  And simple to make!

1. Found the Joy Mini Ice Cream Cups at Wally World.
2. Mix up your favorite cake pop recipe and press in the cones making a mound at the top.
3. Dip each mound into melted candy melts - any color!
4. Pipe some white candy melts on the top of the cone, top with sixlet and sprinkle with non pareils before it dries.
5. After it has dried, poke a hole in the bottom of the cone with a pointed pick so it doesn't crack the cone.
6. Then place a white cookie stick in the cone.

If you like, package them to serve as favors.
Enjoy to the very last mini bite!

Or skip the cone all together.
Put the cake balls on a stick and package them just the same!

  1. These are so cute. How do they hold up over time? Whenever I've made these with little cones with cake batter, the next day the cones seem a bit soggy.

    1. The ones I left out seem to be okay, maybe use a litle less frosting in your cake batter. I've got the rest in the freezer and I'll let you know how that works!! :)

  3. These are soooooo cute. They so look like mini ice creams. I really want to try doing some cake pops soon but I need more coloured candy melts. Either that or buy white chocolate buttons and colour them myself. Not sure if that'll work but worth a try.

    1. Thanks Lisa! You CAN color your white chocolate, in fact WILTON makes a candy food color just for that!

  5. Can't wait to copy your very cute idea with the mini-cones.

What's YOUR favorite cake pop flavor and do you add frosting or cream cheese?

Mine is Lemon with cream cheese.

    1. Thanks Lexy - I think mine would have to be chocolate! Although for these cones, I used white cake and my cookie frosting.
