The Partiologist: Beverages

Beverages

As soon as the guests arrived at the shower, they were offered a beverage of their choice.  Kind of like a wedding, sitting on the bride or grooms side, they could pick from either the baby girl or baby boy beverages.  Here's the set up for the baby boy...

Vanilla Frappes with a pom pom on a stick - taped to the side of the glass.  Not sure why I did that...do you remember I only hand a week to plan and I think I must have been running out of time.  Plus, one of the kids thought it was a cake pop and tried eating it.  Not the best of my ideas!   I did, however, think the little booties filled with white sixlets went well with the random pom poms.
Please notice the light blue sugared rim.
All set up before the party~
I had a baby girl beverage station on the other side of the kitchen~
All pink and girly, offering either blueberry or strawberry smoothies.  And along the side were little favors boxes for everyone.  Here is it before the glasses were filled.
Some of the details were the gingham girl letters in the back~
The stemware was tied with gingham ribbon and the rims were sugared with pink sanding sugar.
I glued little buttons to the front of each party favor and filled them with pastel wrapped chocolate.
And because I'm a planner, and a partier, I always pick up extra pastel wrapped candy around Easter.  Not knowing what I will use them for, I always use them. Or eat them.
Last but not least, I had another selection of beverages.
Orange Juice and Milk~
Several of the guests were children, so I had something just for them.  I was surprised, they really wanted O.J. and Milk.  I also supplied little Sippy cups for spill prevention.  It worked!
I spiffed up the scotcharoos by adding blue and yellow fondant bowties.
The Sippy cups were for the kids and the Scotcharoos were for me the adults.
You know you want one!

Cheers to the Boys and Cheers to the Girls!
