The Partiologist: Come, Sit, Stay!

Come, Sit, Stay!

I can't wait until the end to show you the dining table.  Complete with pup cakes in the park!  I didn't really know what I was going to do for this dog themed party table.  It was bad enough that my guests had to eat sweets and puppytizers out of dog dishes that I didn't want to make them eat out of dog bowls at the table.  So I let them eat on a plate.

Come, Sit, Stay.

Looks like a lot going on over here, so why don't you come a little closer and take a look at the doggy bags, dog collar napkin and menu.
Here's the Dog Collar~
You can't see, but the white is sparkly.  Max likes sparkles.
A little Menu Card was placed beside each place setting~
BONE APPETIT

Three Cheese
Pet-So Pasta

Woof Woof
Wraps

Go Fetch
Fruit Salad

Thorough Bread
Paws
Homemade Cornbread baked in Paw Shapes~
I didn't take photos of the pasta, fruit or wraps.
And of course the Doggie Bag~
Which also served as the place card.
The back was sealed with a kiss paw print!
The entire bag was wrapped in a black ribbon and sealed after the treats were added.  Did I mention treats?  Doggy Treats?  Yep, I sure did!  Of course I had Rice Krispie Treats!
Rice Krispie bones drizzled with red and black candy melts.
Topped with white mini bone sprinkles.
How did I?
I used a plastic bone shaped pan, you could also press the Rice Krispie mixture in a bone shaped cookie cutter.  Spray with Pam and press in the treats and pop them out.  Drizzle with red and black chocolate candy melts and sprinkle with white bone sprinkles!

And also included were Pup Corn Bars with Doggie Doo Doo~
Popcorn bars with added tootsie rolls!
Pup Cakes In The Park - NEXT POST!

Now I'm about to tell you some very exciting news.  VERY EXCITING!
No, it's not a book deal - BETTER!
You can now print, e-mail, pin, tweet or text a recipe right from my blog with just one click. Did you hear that???   ONE CLICK!

Rice Krispie Treats (Any Shape!)

by The Partiologist
Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients (24 Squares)
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1-10 oz. package Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
Instructions
Melt butter over low heat and add marshmallows. Stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispie cereal until completely coated.
Press mixture into a buttered 9 x 13 pan.
For thicker treats press mixture into an buttered 8 x 8 pan
(I find putting a little cold water on my fingers makes it easy to press the mixture in the pan without it sticking.)
Refrigerate until firm, remove from pan and cut.

I told you it was EXCITING!  You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

  7. What a beautiful fun party for a "dog"! I still have no idea how you think up all of these wonderful things to surprise your guests with for each and every event that you host. Once again, what lucky friends you have to get to share in your talents!

  11. I am planning a victory party when I finish a lengthy court battle to bring my six dogs back and I am in love with your paw shaped cornbread. Would you please tell me how you did that so I can do it.

    1. I used the silicone paw pan (listed above) and sprayed it with pam. Make your cornbread (either from a mix or from scratch) and pour it into the little paws! Bake and enjoy! (It's like a cornbread muffin!)
