The Partiologist: The Dog House!

The Dog House!

I have good news - today is the last day of the Paw-Ty and you won't want to miss it!   Oh yes, my friends, I had to make a cake.  A dog house cake.  And in my mind, it really was so easy to put together.  In real life?

Not so much!

Dog House Cake

And with the cake I served Paw Print Frozen Yogurt!

In Chocolate and Vanilla!

Let the yogurt soften and spoon it into a paw print mold., freeze overnight and they will peel right out.  I placed them on the large red serving platter, covered with plastic wrap until the paw-ty!

The dog house cake was part of the backyard goodies!

All fenced in on my counter!

Also served on the counter were Top Dog Trophy's!

Punched out the ribbons with a paper punch from Joann's.
Filled with Sixlets!
And Paw Print OREO'S

I used a mold, however, I painted the black paw print on the OREO after I took it out of the mold.  I found that if I used a paint brush and Wilton black candy food color for my paint - it worked perfect!

Next to the dog house were the dog bowls.  Rice Krispie Dog Bowls!

I made the bowls by pressing rice krispie treats into a round cookie cutter, and then pressing down the center.  They were filled with white and dark chocolate dog bones I made with a mold.

Here's a few photos of the process~

Next to the dog bowls were...wait for it...
PET-A-FOURS!

Made the tiny cakes, covered them in fondant, cut dog themed toppers out of fondant.
Don't you love it???  Pet-A-Fours!!

Not on the counter, just another chance to talk to the paw!

And I needed napkins....so I made them with my foam stamp!

So, my fine furry friends, this is the end of the Paw-ty, I hope you had a good time getting lots of ideas!  Max and I had a great time, maybe too good of a time...

Thanks so much for Paw-tying with us - you've been a Good Dog!
Now it's time for me to take a

BOW, WOW!

  16. The RKT dog bowls with the bones were absolutely adorable. My puppy Macie is turning one next month, but I'm going to make sure she doesn't see these posts. She'll be so jealous and will want you to be her mom.

  19. Wow - everything was super cute and so creative. I've been making paw print chocolates for years and donate them to an animal rescue Christmas luncheon for the BIG donators. On the back of the cello bag (although people SHOULD know) I print a small label which states "for human consumption only". You never know. People who get them might give them as gifts FROM their pet to a non-pet person.

Those rice crispy dog bowls are super! They would make another great party favor. I wonder if there's something you could make the bowl out of that would be edible to a dog and then put actual (small) doggy bones inside. If so - what a wonderful gift for a friend's dog's birthday or Christmas. Give that a moment's thought :) I'd love to know if you can think of something.

The dog house, of course, steals the show. It's wonderful, especially you personalizing it with the dog's name..

Dog print napkins - you certainly did think of everything. Is there a reason you used a foam brush? Just wondering as they're getting harder and harder to find. Did you use stamping ink or paint? (If paint - perhaps that's why you used a disposable foam brush ??)

Your doggy post sure brightened my day. I love my doggy (and the cats too) so animal themes are my favorite. They're a big part of the family!

Thank you SOOO much for all the ideas.

    1. Oh my, thank you so very much for taking the time to write such a nice comment! The foam brush was actually a foam paw stamp, so that is the reason I used it and I think I just used paint.
