The Partiologist: Desserts and More...Desserts!

Desserts and More...Desserts!

With so many dessert's in this post and in case you're wearing skinny jeans, you may want to change into sweats.  You will get hungry.  During the preparation of all the desserts I realized I didn't take any photos, I had one thing on my mind and that was how to make them sparkle.  Just in case you missed it, here is the dessert table once again.

Golden Dessert Table

And to make you hungry, here are the close ups of all the goodies.

Cranberry Crumble Bars

This recipe is from my grandmother, who is now 102.  I had the pleasure of celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with her.  She made Cranberry Bars all the time for me and now I had the chance to make some for her.  I served the bars in gold and white stripe paper cups.

Peanut Butter Cheesecake with Pretzel Crust

I drizzled ganache over the top along with chocolate shavings and a chunk of chocolate.
YUM.

Remember the snowflake topped Chocolate Dipped Oreo Pops?

Sometimes a little dip of chocolate is all they need.  Each cookie had a snowflake and a gold dragee in the middle.

Chocolate Mocha Cupcakes

I topped the mocha frosting with an espresso bean and then placed the cupcakes inside glass cupcake domes.  The domes were then placed on a gold coasters and decorated with a gold glitter snowflake hanging from gold ribbon.

Shooting Star Cake Pops

These cake pops needed to be front and center.  Perfect fit for the gilded gold tray.

Not far behind were the Coconut Macarons

Instead of drizzling the top with chocolate, I dipped the bottom in chocolate.  Then I realized I sure made a lot of chocolate desserts.  Whew, here's something not chocolate.

Petite Pecan Pies

Each made in a tiny tart pan and topped with a pie crust snowflake!
There were a few left from the party, and ohhhh, they were good.  Just ask me how I know.

Raspberry Mousse Cups

These chocolate cups were going to be filled with fruit and then I found a recipe for Raspberry Mouse.  The dessert changed, however the name stayed the same.

Cordial Cherries

My oh my, after soaking in brandy and dipping in chocolate, these cherries were VERY cordial!  The last three desserts were placed on glass platters inside a gold tree that was, really, just a decorative tree.  I took apart another serving stand and made the tree into a serving stand too!
See?

Chocolate Dipped Gingerbread Men

Needing the gingerbread men to have a little golden touch, I dipped them in chocolate and painted gold lustre dust on the chocolate.  Then I added an ivory fondant holly leaf and a gold dragee.

Chocolate Chip Mini Donuts

I needed something small enough to fit inside the tall gold serving stand, these were it!

Mini Apple Muffins

And something for the other tall stand were Mini Apple Muffins.  I knew my guests would probably not eat one at the party, but the would be perfect for them to take home and enjoy in the morning.

Tree Topped Brownies

Brownies topped with fondant trees, gold dragees and edible gold glitter flakes.

Cranberry Chocolate Pistachio Bark

The chocolate bark was probably the easiest thing I made and I think everyone loved it the most!  Maybe because it has teeny tiny edible gold stars?

One Last Look...

I think that just about covers the desserts...or does it?

Remember New Year's Resolutions don't start until tomorrow...today's your last chance at chocolate.

 Cheers to the New Year!

CLINK!
