The Partiologist: Easy Conversation Heart Cookies!

Easy Conversation Heart Cookies!

Did I just say EASY conversation heart cookies?  In no way have they ever been easy for me until I found this imprint cutter.  My hand writing is not great, really, it's not.  So, to go messing up my cookies piping on words is not an option.  Using fondant, I could create perfect lettering every time.  Just roll and stamp, then place on top of the cookie and PERFECTION every time.

Conversation Heart Cookies

Have you ever been afraid to work with fondant?  Let me tell you, it's not scary at all, it's like
working with play dough.

I loved how easy it was to make these cookies.  And if you don't like fondant, you could always make the same cookie topper with modeling chocolate.
The Wilton pastel fondant has the perfect colors.  If you want more colors, just add a bit of food coloring to white fondant.

I found the cutters with the valentine imprint, making the toppers a breeze!

Next, roll and cut the heart cookies using the back side of the cutter.

Bake according to directions.

Roll the fondant, press with the imprint.

Turn the cutter over and cut the heart around the imprint.

Spread a small amount of Karo syrup on the back side of the fondant heart.

Place the fondant heart on top of the sugar cookie.

How easy was that?

I sure wish I had the imprint cutters when I had the Conversation Heart Party.  Yes I had an entire party themed after conversation hearts.

  3. For me, the world's worst icing piper, these are perfect! I just found a sweet Victorian alphabet impression set. I like your idea better..no trying to keep the letters in a straight line. Your heart cookies are beautiful!

    1. Thank you so much, I always struggle when it comes to piping words on cookies. They usually are way off center! :)
