The Partiologist: Leopard Party Table!

Leopard Party Table!

The guest of honor is quite stylish, so I thought including a leopard necklace was only appropriate.  It also served as the backdrop for the dessert table.

Leopard Party Dessert Table

After seeing this jewel hanging in a store front, I went in and asked if I could buy it.  Obviously, they said yes.   I spray painted some of the bulbs red to go with my theme.

The only photo of the table and window.

I had so many wild tutorials ready to share with you.

Then the unthinkable happened.  My computer crashed and I lost almost every photo from this party.

Thankfully, I had saved a few of the photos on another site and those are the only ones I have.

FYI, this disaster happened long before my recent photo deleting disaster.  It's remarkable I'm still blogging, right?

Okay, back to the dessert table...

The desserts featured at the party were all decked out in the wildest way.

Leopard Cake Pops, hand painted.

Red Chocolate Dipped Pretzels.

Banana cupcakes -  the wild recipe featured below.

One of the birthday girl favorite's, Lemon Tarts.

My favorite...Chocolate Cake Pops, with a black fondant flower and leopard print straws covering the cake pop stick.

Banana Nut Cookies.

A favorite for sure - Marshmallow S'mores!

Triple Chocolate Truffles.

Leopard print OREO Cookie Pops, dipped and decorated!

Front and center were the Sweet Leopard Print Sugar Cookies.

The table cloth was made from fabric I found at Joann Fabrics, perfect for holding all the leopard themed treats, don't you think?

I don't know how you feel about bananas, chocolate and walnuts... I'm WILD about them.

And that's why I made these Banana Nut Cupcakes, who knew bananas could be wild?

In fact, these little cuties are so good, you'll love them from the outside in!

After baking the cupcakes, I just piped a swirl of chocolate ganache on the top, added a banana chip and the leopard print cupcake topper.

BANANA NUT CUPCAKES

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • GANACHE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 24 muffin tins with muffin papers, set aside.
In large bowl, mix sugar and butter. Add eggs, bananas, buttermilk and vanilla; beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
Stir in flour, baking soda and salt, just until moistened.
Add nuts and chocolate chips.
Divide batter into the 24 muffin cups.
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes

GANACHE

In small saucepan, combine chocolate and whipping cream; heat over low heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and creamy, stirring constantly. Remove saucepan from heat. Stir in butter. Refrigerate 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cool and spreading consistency.
Pipe a swirl of Chocolate Ganache on the tops of each cupcake.

You know when I say I've got more sweets, I've got more sweets.  I made a leopard print buttercream birthday cake topped with a sugar cookie 60.  FYI - It tasted better than it looked.

60th Birthday Cake

Did you know anything, ANYTHNG can be wild.  All you need to do is add leopard cupcake wrappers and toppers or a leopard clothespin and ta da - it's WILD!

Even the backdrop turned wild with a flower paper punch, coffee filters and cupcake wrappers.

The red glasses were holding all the cupcakes, sitting on a leopard trimmed mirror.

I am so excited I found one close up photo of the hand painted fondant leopard cupcake topper with red royal icing roses.

The beverage station turned a little wild with leopard lanterns, leopard ribbon tied coffee mugs and leopard print and red ribbon on the water.

Oh, and the Thomas Keller Bouchon Cakes...

Totally wild, sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with tiny glass domes.  Each dome was also topped with a red ribbon and a leopard jewel.

They were delicious.

Even the caramel apple cheesecake took a walk on the wild side with leopard print ribbon tied around the stem of the dessert glass.

Thanks for taking a trip though the jungle...this wild ride has come to a complete stop.
