Snowball Cookies!

With the snow continuing to fall, it's always fun to have a snowball fight, or maybe not.  But it was fun to make the snowball cookies.  You'll definitely want to be hit with one of these!

Snowball Cookies!

So easy to make with just a few ingredients.

Snowball Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, plus more for rolling
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
Instructions
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla.
Gradually stir in flour and pecans.
Chill.
Shape into small round balls.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until firm but not brown.
Roll in powdered sugar, cool, sugar again.

  2. Yes, I agree with Anne above. These have been a traditional holiday cookie in my family as well. Depending on what is available, we sometimes make them with walnuts instead of pecans. I have both types of nut trees growing on my property. Family loves them either way.

    1. Some years I forget about them, they are always a favorite of my family. Lucky YOU with two types of nut trees growing on your property, my family only gets to live with one nut - ME! LOL
