The Partiologist: Mini Hershey Kiss Cookies!

Mini Hershey Kiss Cookies!

When I bought the little Hershey Kiss cookie cutter, I couldn't wait to use it.  But, like I've said before, Valentine's Day comes and goes and the little cutter gets packed away until next year.  Here it is, not even February and I've already made the little chocolate cookies.

Then I took it one step further and packaged them just like the original Hershey Kisses.

Mini Chocolate Hershey Kiss Cookies

Don't be fooled.

They are NOT regular Hershey Kisses.

They are an imitation at it's best.

This is what you'll find under each wrapper.

Chocolate cookie kisses.

Now for the Kiss Cam.

Let's take a look at what I did.

Or take a look through the photos.

Roll and cut each little kiss from chocolate cookie dough.

Then I painted each one with edible metallic paint.

Baked them up and they crackled just like the foil wrapper.

Remember when I said I had the cutter for a long time?

Well, when I went to look for a place for you to buy your own Hershey Kiss cutter, I couldn't find a single one.

Nope, not one.

What I did find was, two other bloggers also made Hershey Kiss Cookies!

We each put our own unique spin on them.

Take a look at the cookies by The Bearfoot Baker and Bakerella.

Back to not being able to find the mini kiss cutter.

I really wanted you to be able to make these cookies, so I found an alternate way.

Use a mini heart cookie cutter in the shape with the bottom pinched.

Turn it upside down and trim the bottom and viola...Hershey Kiss!

To wrap or not to wrap...

I decided to wrap the chocolate cookies, just like Hershey Kisses.

And it worked out perfectly, after unwrapping all the Kisses, the chocolates were ready for another cookie.

Like the kind of cookie you think of when you hear Hershey Kiss Cookies.

So no need to buy any extra wrapping!

It was just the right size to wrap the cookie.

One Kiss or Two?
