The Partiologist: Creepy Eye Cake Pop!

Creepy Eye Cake Pop!

If you like creepy, you're going to love this eerie eyeball cake pop.  Because skeleton hands are holding it.  Now you can find out how to make it too!

Creepy Eye Cake Pop!

Once I got the skeleton mold, I wanted to use it again.  Remember the creepy COOKIE?  This time I wanted the skeleton hands to be holding something...but what.  Thought about a bowl of candy.  But that wasn't creepy enough.

Maybe when I've grown out of my love for creepy skeletons I'll do the bowl.

I'm handing this over...

What do you think?

So creepy and cool at the same time.

I found the eyeballs ready made, so all I had to do was add them to the cake pop.

Let's get started.

Mold the cake mixture into round balls.

Trim the side, so it is flat on one end.

Melt the red candy melts in microwave safe container.

Dip the end of the stick into the candy melts and then into the cake pop.

Dip the cake pop, coating completely.

Remove and immediately add candy eye to the flat side of the cake pop.

Now it's time to add the skeleton hands.

But first we need to make them.

Start with the skeleton hand mold, pinch fondant into long strips and fill the finger cavities.

Add more fondant until the mold is full.

Remove excess fondant from the mold and remove.

Add a black straw over the lollipop stick.

Dampen the back of the fondant skeleton fingers and add to each side of the eye.

    1. The cake pops were formed from a cake that has been crumbled with a bit of frosting added to help them stay together and hold their shape. Hope this helps.
