The Partiologist: Heart Cut Out Cookies!

Heart Cut Out Cookies!

Do you want to make heart cut out cookies?  Which in this case means a heart cut out of the center of a cookie.  Maybe there is a better name for them, like Layered Love?

Heart Cut Out Cookies!

Two, two cookies in one!  Layered Love for sure.

All you need is a heart shaped cookie cutter in two sizes.

And the willpower not to eat them all yourself.

These are an updated version of the cookies from 2012.

Because they are filled with fluffy buttercream!

Cute and Quick.  Doesn't get any better than that!

Start by cutting large heart shaped cookies and bake.

Next, cut the same large heart shaped cookie and position the smaller heart cutter in the middle and cut.

Remove the center heart and bake.

Pipe red buttercream frosting in the middle using a Wilton #32 tip.

Top with the cut out heart cookie.

Sprinkle with red sugar sprinkles if your heart desires.
