The Partiologist: Bridal Shower Invitations!

Bridal Shower Invitations!

Not long after the Bride Tribe luncheon, I hosted a Bridal Shower.  The shower was something I started planning the moment my daughter became engaged.  Like I've said before, I start making the paper products as soon as possible.  Starting with the invitation.

And it's a good thing I started early.  The invitations took me forever to make.  I'm not exaggerating.

Once I decided on what I wanted to make, I needed to figure out HOW to make them.

Which meant several trips to the craft stores.  This is what I found.

Cardstock, lace, tulle and envelopes.  It was a three layer invitation!

I printed the wording on a sheet of cardstock and then cut two cards with my Cricut, one with the dress cut out.

(I practiced on blank paper until I got it to fit.)

I cut the lace to fit between the cards glued it (just around the edges) on the bottom card.

(First I tried spraying the bottom card with spray adhesive, which was ALL over the place and really didn't work.)  It just made my feet stick to the floor.

I used a round punch and punched two holes through both cards at the top of the dress and carefully threaded the tulle, making the veil.

Anyway, they were a labor of love and I loved them!  The bride to be loved them too!

I always mail invitations for my parties and I loved that they were one of a kind for my daughter.

It was a fabulous party and I can't wait to share all the details.

Here comes the Bride!
