The Partiologist: Valentine Cookies!

Valentine Cookies!

I couldn't let Valentine's Day go by without adding more cookies.  You know, the conversation heart kind.  After seeing the box in the dollar spot at Target, I thought it would make a comfy place for the cookies.

Conversation Heart Cookies.

And of course, the cookies had to match the box.

Which made it easy for me.  And easy for you.

The box is so cute, you may not believe it was only a dollar.

Find a heart shape cutter to match the hearts on the box and start your engines oven.

Roll, cut and bake.

And because I don't like my handwriting, I used alphabet tappits to make the letters.

All red letters, because that's how conversation hearts are made.

With all red letters.  YEA!

Frost each cookie with, yes, a different color of frosting.

Add letters to each cookie just as they are shown on the box.

Finish by adding colored sanding sugar.

Let the cookies set overnight to dry, then fill the bottom of the box with red paper shred (because they want a cushy place to live) and add the cookies.

Caution:  Be very gentle if you use butter cream.

They all fit perfectly!

Now to keep them nice and fresh and of course, cute, let's package them up in cellophane.

Tie with a red ribbon and give to your valentine.
That will get the conversation started.
