Garden Marker Cookies!

Most of you know I'm not one to be outside digging around in the dirt planting a garden.  Don't get me wrong, I love fresh vegetables, in fact I grew up on a farm getting to enjoy the labors of my mom and dad's hard work.  However, I didn't carry on their legacy...
I went to the grocery store.

I do remember the markers used in the garden and wanted to recreate them in cookie form.  This way I will dig around in the dirt, or you might say Oreo crumbs.

Clay Pot Cookie Gift!

You know how I love pretty packaging, don't you?  No matter how much time you spend making a treat, you can take it to a whole new level with packaging.  Today I took simple flower cookies and made them extra special with this simple idea.  You could use any cookie, bar, brownie or fudge with the same packaging.

Whoopsie Daisy Cake

Before I show you the Whoopsie Daisy Cake, let's take a quick look at the fresh fruit cups.  I called this "I never promised you a rose garden"...I don't know why.

Let's Get Buzzed!

If I'm going to highlight some of my favorite parts of the Garden Party, I could not leave these out!  Again in the middle of the night I remembered I had seen a metal bumblebee at Joann Fabrics.  I woke up and knew just what I would do with it....

Garden Party Highlights!

After making the little inch worm cupcakes, I thought I should show you some highlights of the Garden Party where they would have been the perfect fit along with the bumble bees.  Of Course, yhe Invitation.

Inching Along

I really didn't know what to call this post, Inch Worm in a Cupcake?  I bet everyone would click to see what that was all about!  So, if you clicked, you'll be glad you did, cuz this little fellow is the first of my insects this spring.  What do you think?  May Day?  Teacher Appreciation?  No Reason?
And these were brought to my attention! Hungry Caterpillar & Earth Day!

Garden Party - Part III

Are you wondering what a person serves at an indoor garden party?  Well, today's the day... I'm showing more of the sweets and décor I used in my Garden Party Theme.

Garden Party - Part II

Good morning! I don't know if I should start the morning off with Lemon Drop Martini's, but they are next on the list....

To complete this layout, I started with some black pipe cleaners and attached a little bumble bee to each end with my trusty cool glue gun!  I found the little bee's at Joann Fabrics.  Then I wrapped a pipe cleaner around each stem of the glass and let it "fly" around the top.  Also, to make the glasses a little more festive, I rimmed each with yellow sanding sugar.

Garden Party!

Okay, here goes...I decided to start with a party that would be perfect for Spring.  And with Easter right around the corner, you could certainly use these ideas for your Easter Brunch/Lunch.  For me, the theme usually starts with seeing an invitation and from there my mind goes wild with ideas.  Isn't this the cutest invitation?? How could I not buy these and have a party??
