What do you do with a gingerbread house that was never decorated for Christmas?  

I don't know what you do, I turn it into a gingerbread LOVE SHACK for Valentine's Day!

You've got to see the Gingerbread invitation I made for my family. Do you think it's weird to make an invitation for my family when they already know there is going to be a party? And is it even weirder to spend hours making the invitation? 

Maybe, but I have to admit I'm a little weird and I love it.

 It's now a tradition for me to host the Gingerbread House Decorating. This year I decided to host a Gingerbread House Decorating PARTY! Complete with a Gingerbread House Invitation. They were a little time consuming to make, but I only had to make three.

Gingerbread + Chocolate = YUM!

I'm about to tell you something you might not believe...For the first time in forever, wait, wrong movie.  I mean for the very first time, I watched "Elf".  I know, I can't believe it either.  Although my family insists I've watched it...which could be true, only I may have been "resting" my eyes during the movie.  This time my eyes were wide open and now it's my new favorite Christmas movie!  After it was over, I was kind of sad realizing I hadn't watched it until now.  All those "Elf" years gone. 

From now on I may need to watch it at least two times every Christmas.  And while watching, why not munch on Gingerbread Cookies?  Dipped in chocolate of course.

Well, it's snowing again and my house smells like gingerbread.  No it's not Christmas, but it sure smells like it.  Last year I made the executive decision...gingerbread is not just for Christmas.

 

Because I love the combination of chocolate and gingerbread (well I pretty much love the combination of chocolate with anything) I decided to make a few gingerbread shaped hearts filled with a red chocolate center.

I'm sorry.  I really had no intention of posting Valentine Cookies so early, it just happened.

Let's talk about Star Wars...and I am saying this very quietly, I haven't seen any of the Star Wars movies.  I know, I might be the only one on the planet that hasn't seen the movies, but I did make cookies.  And that should count for something.

Oh So Cute Gingerbread Men!

I'm still talking Gingerbread, as in cookie dough, sugar cookies, gingerbread men and...two more, only I can't let the cat gingerbread out of the bag just yet because they're still in my mind.  As soon as I get them out of my mind and into reality I'll let you know, I don't want to make empty promises.

 

Anyway, back to today and the cute gingerbread men which have become a reality.  Remember when I told you to save the remaining gingerbread dough?  Not to give it all away?  This is why...
