Lace Wrapped Brownies!

Are you in love with Cake Lace?  After deciding upon using lots of lace in the décor for the Bridal shower, I wanted to incorporate it into the desserts.  Edible lace that is.  But how?  I made several styles of Cake Lace and starting putting it with everyday desserts.  I finally found the perfect combo...I think it took these brownies from Wow to Wowza!

Paint Palette Truffles!

Should I admit I was planning to make cake pops and then decided I was too tired?  Or should I just pretend my original plan was to make Brownie Truffles?  Either way, I made a good decision to go with the Brownie Truffles.

Game On with Wilton!

Whenever it's time to get together and watch football with family and friends, I'm in charge of dessert.  No one ever asks me to bring anything involving protein.

I was so excited to use the Wilton candy melts in my favorite teams colors and the Wilton mini cake pans were the perfect size to make my brownies!  This is how I want to kick off my football season, how about you?

Edible Emoji's!

Emoji's, don't you love 'em? There is pretty much an Emoji for every emotion.  So when I made the mini Emoji cakes, I have to say I felt every one of those emotions in the past week.  Okay, let's make it in the past day.

I was wearing shades when I made the cakes, they're so cool.  Insert wink Emoji.

50 Yard Line Brownies!

EEK!  It's Friday and almost time for another day of football.  I've been wanting to make these brownies since before the first kick off of the season.  Looks like I've waited until the two minute warning, but I think I pulled it off.

Do you notice anything different about these 50 Yard Lines?  Take a closer look.

Snowflake Brownies!

Baby it's COLD outside!  And I'm not just singing a song, today the high is going to be 21 degrees and we're covered in snow.  I love snow, I love cold, I love to be inside when it's snowy and cold.  Inside eating brownies with snowflakes.

Mini Chimney Cakes!

As a child, I have the most magical memories of Christmas, it was simple, but simply wonderful.  My family consisted of my mom, dad, two sisters and grandparents.  On Christmas Eve we would go to our church Christmas program, come home and open gifts.

I could list my favorite gifts, but I don't think you care about the Incredible Edible Machine or the Vacuform or even the Fun Flower Machine...not to mention my sister's Wood Burning Machine.  Yeah, those were some of my favorites.  I'm pretty sure they don't make them any more because of all those safety regulations...it's a miracle I'm still alive!

Now, you might want to take a seat for this revelation, I didn't believe in Santa...GASP!  I pretended in Santa.  Are you in shock?  Santa always appeared at our school Christmas program and I thought he was a great guy and all, I even told him what I wanted for Christmas just for fun.  I still pretend in Santa, which is why I made these cute little mini cakes, just for Santa.

A Charlie Brown Christmas Party!

Today I'm back with one of my favorite guys...Charlie Brown.  I mean really, who doesn't love him?  I remember sitting down to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas long before there were DVD's, TiVo or even remotes.  And did you know it's the 50th Anniversary of the movie?  Now it seems Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang are everywhere and I can watch it anytime and make it party time!

In Oriental Trading's exclusive A Charlie Brown Christmas collection, I found so many fun crafts to make, then I realized...not only could they be used as crafts, they could be used as dessert décor.  This is one of the many ways I found to use the products!

Marquee Brownie!

I'm not sure how, or even why this idea came to mind.  Maybe it's because everywhere I look I see some kind of marquee letter or sign in lights.  So I guess it's only normal to turn it into a brownie, right?  Well, my normal.  And it's the perfect way to direct guests to the party!

Spider Web Brownie!

I should start by saying I don't like spiders, not even a little.  However, for some odd reason they're creeping up all over my blog.  Today they might be a good as they're going to get.  Because they're sitting on top of a beautiful edible cake lace spider web which is sitting on top of a brownie.  What could be better than that?

Sunflower Cookies & Brownie!

Cookie platters are so popular right now, I decided to make one.  Not only can they be part of the décor, they are the dessert.  I love to make desserts where the guests can serve themselves and I can be the entertainment.  Unless of course you want to monitor the intake of the dessert...because, one by one, the petals will disappear.

Beach Ball Brownies!

Wanting to add a little dimension to my pool party, both the brownies and cupcakes had special hand made toppers.  For the brownies, I made a beach ball out of fondant and royal icing, a red chocolate life ring topped the cupcakes.  Let's start with the brownie, it's more than a brownie, it's a...

It's Tiki Time!

I'm feeling like a beach bum lately with all the Hawaiian themed sweets I've been working on.  I'm in serious need of sun and sand along with a tropical drink in my hand.  Or maybe just a trip to the craft store...looks like a trip to the craft store was in my budget.  When I found the jumbo bamboo straws, I didn't know why, I just knew I needed them.  Now I know why.

Not Just a Brownie!

Sometimes a brownie is a brownie and sometimes a brownie is a party.  Today it's a party and brownie all in one because it's shaped like a party package.  And covered in chocolate.

Feeling the Green with Shamrock Topped Brownies!

So many ways to serve a brownie...This past weekend my husband and I went out for dinner, I sat and watched as the couple next to our table shared this delicious looking brownie topped with ice cream.  I don't know how it works for them, but when we share dessert, it means he gets a couple of bites and I get the rest.  That's just the way it is.  Only this time, it isn't.  Because this time, there are plenty of brownies and shamrocks and ice cream to let him have his own.

Grab your favorite leprechaun and head to Hungry Happenings to find out how!

It's about time I feature a gluten free creation, don't you think?  My daughter has been gluten free for a few years now and we have tried a few good and not so good recipes.  Most of the time I read a gluten free recipe, I see a lot of stuff I don't recognize or have on hand, does this happen to you?  Never Fear, Krusteaz Here!

70's Theme Party!

Every year I have the opportunity to make not only cookies, but anything else I come up with for two very sweet little girls birthday.  Last year it was a 50's Theme party and this year it's 70"s!  How exciting for me because I totally lived the 70's, disco ball and all, in fact, I was "The Dancing Queen".  To start the party I made...
