Brush Stroke Flower Cookies!

I've been at it again, working in my flower garden.  I know you've seen my big bright buttercream flower cookies in the past, but I have good news.  I've made them even easier than before and a video showing how.  You're welcome.

Edible Rose Topiary Trees!

Today's the day you'll want to see what I have in store for you.  If I could choose a favorite from the party, this might be it, although I may have several favorites from the party.  Not only were they perfect for a Shabby Chic party, they would be an adorable addition to your mother's day table.  You haven't forgotten Mom have you?

When I found the tiny little pots, I fell in love, everything miniature is the cutest, right? You didn't know they make flower pots so small did you?  I'm not sure what they are for, probably gardening or something.  Now, let's get this straight, you know my terra cotta pots will never be filled with anything that actually grows...just say'in.  Okay, now that we have that out of the way, let me show you what I planted...or should I say baked?

Love Mom to Pieces!

While out shopping for who knows what, the saying in a window "I Love You to Pieces" caught my eye.  Immediately I thought of puzzle piece cookies for mom along with the quote on a tag.  My kind of puzzle.

Edible Pearls for Mom!

I don't know about you, but I've started reminding my family mother's day is coming.  No one has ever forgotten my birthday, anniversary, or mother's day.  I really don't think they would, even if I didn't start reminding them weeks in advance.

Herb Garden Cupcakes!

It's no secret I don't have a green thumb.  In fact, my neighborhood is hosting the Junior League garden tour this summer, when my neighbor was asked if they thought I would like to participate, she laughed and said "she has artificial flowers in her urns"!  Really, who doesn't want to see a beautiful fake faux flower arrangement potted in urns?
Come to find out, no one.

Maybe you'll want to see what I've potted in these garden pots.

Pretty Pretty Petit Fours!

Have I ever told you that my favorite season is Spring?  Spring leads to summer and summer is warm and I love the warm weather.  Spring also leads to the store shelves being stocked with pastel.  And pastel leads to...

Flower Cookies!

Flowers are always a good choice for Mother's Day.  Flower Cookies, however, are a better choice in my honest opinion.  And these are so simple to make, you could whip up a dozen before calling 1-800-FLOWERS!  Almost.  These are the flower's I'm talking about~

Mocha Cupcakes!

Do you know what you want for Mother's Day?  Or what to give for Mother's Day?  I'm sharing two of my favorite things...Chocolate and Coffee.  I don't think I could live without either.

Mints For Mom!

Before Mother's day is here and gone, I want to share something pretty and easy to make for mom.  And that's why these Cream Cheese Mints were created.  Or should I say "Grown" since they're flowers?

The Lime and The Coco-NUT!

When I found out that LIME and COCONUT would be the ingredients for this months dessert challenge, I immediately thought...coconut key lime pie.  And as the time came closer for me to create this dessert, I was not feeling too well.  I I recently devoured quite a bit of chocolate and making more sweets didn't seem like such a good idea.  If you know me at all, I could live on sweets and sometimes I do.  (Hence, the not feeling well part.)  In the back of my mind I thought about another option instead of a super rich dessert and that option was fruit.

Flower Garden Cupcakes & Cookies!

Today I'm guest posting over at Hungry Happenings, do you happen to know her?  Beth is quite awesome and always has something pretty exciting going on, you might say she is one very busy gal!

I am happy to help her out today and show you the small garden of daisies I planted for my mom. My mom not only is a cake decorator and artist, she also loves flowers.  And she knows how to plant and take care of them.  Something I don't have a clue about and will probably never learn.  I once planted tulips...upside down.  They grew, just had to make a little U-Turn!

I wanted to surprise her with a little garden of daisies for mother's day and by that, I mean a cupcake flower garden.

Happy Mother's Day to Everyone!  Every year I think back to when I was a little girl and went to a Mother/Daughter salad supper at our church with my Mom and Grandma.  I was asked to recite a poem and being the public speaker I am, I said yes.  Turns out, I wasn't much on public speaking.  I couldn't eat, and remember sitting at our table, tearing holes in the paper tablecloth.  I was a nervous wreck.  When it was my turn to walk up in front of every other Daughter, Sister, Mom and Grandma to recite my poem, I froze.  Couldn't remember a thing and then I cried.  However, not that it's any use now, I still remember that poem to this day and recite it every Mother's Day.  Here goes~

Everything's Coming Up Flowers!

Everything is coming up roses, daisies and sunflowers...not in my garden (remember, I don't have a garden!) in my kitchen.  Lately I've been on a roll making things with candy melts.  And when I ran across this little mold, I decided it was time to make more chocolate covered OREO's.  And I even made some printables to go with each cookie.  Not the genius kind of printables, more like the Avery kind of printables!

Gift Bag Ideas!

With May Day behind us, and Mother's Day quickly approaching I felt it necessary to share a quick and easy way to make a gift bag.  Out of a lunch sack. Brown or White.

Okay party people, did you know that Mother's day is right around the corner?  In fact it's exactly two weeks from tomorrow.  One of my favorite treats is chocolate covered strawberries.   I decided to take it up a notch and add a few more toppings!  I think any mom would like love these~
