Yikes! October is a couple days away, I can't seem to wind down the summer vibes and think about fall. Because you know what happens soon after? Brrrrrr...But after making these cookies and feeling the chill in the air (notice I didn't say anything about being cold) I'm kind of excited. Kind of.

Falling for Oreo's!
I know it's been awhile since I've shared something besides wedding/bridal parties and sweets. So today I'm back with something for fall. Kind of. How about Oreo's? Covered in chocolate topped with all kinds of fun.

Trending Now - Black and Gold Pumpkins!
It's taken awhile to get these designs out of my head and on to cookies...Trendy Black and Gold Pumpkin Cookies. In catalogs and on store shelves everywhere, I have seen black and gold pumpkins...it was only a matter of time until they would become cookies.
Would you believe me if I told you I used only ONE cutter for all six cookies?
Well I did and I'll show you how.

Gourmet Apple Cookies!
Without hesitation, I can say a chocolate covered caramel apple is one of my favorite desserts. Even with all the sweets in my kitchen, I find myself craving one of those big chocolate covered caramel apples you can buy. Because the base is an apple and I choose the one covered with dark chocolate, it's good for you. I always tell myself that.
While staring from the selection of apples covered with just about everything imaginable, I got to thinking about cookies. Gourmet Apple Cookies to be exact and I thought, why not?

"WHOO" Knew Something So Cute Could Taste So Good??
I don't know if you got it, but this is "WHOO" I'm talking about. A homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Owl. It's so cute, I wanted to name it. But then I couldn't eat it, because you really should not eat anything you've named, right?

Stenciled Leaf Cookies!
Is fall in the air? I don't know, but fall is definitely in the stores. Everywhere you look we're reminded of how soon we'll be raking leaves. Well, you might be raking leaves, but I won't. I've told my husband it's not in my job description. I will however, be baking leaves.

After finishing up with all the back to school posts, I decided to start the fall season with something simple. And this time I really mean simple.

Falling For You!
I spent the first four days of November at a Cookie Convention in Salt Lake City. You probably didn't even know there was such a thing...well, there is and it was the sweetest convention in the world. The convention was put together by the awesome Mike & Karen of Karen's Cookies. Two hundred cookiers gathered from all over the world to share their love of cookies. While there, we all had the chance to learn new techniques and even try them out first hand. Something I've been wanting to do was try airbrush on my cookies. And I did.

One more fall post before I move along to something I've been planning for a long long time!
But first, remember the little chocolate squares? You won't believe how simple it was to create the maple leaf chocolates.
