Birthday Cookie Donuts!

Without a plan, I roam around the store.  Even with a plan, I roam around looking at everything, even though there is really nothing I need, I always seem to find something I want.  In this case, I actually needed it, only after I saw it.  Anyway, it led me to making these cookies for a friend's birthday.

Wafer Paper Birthday Cookies!

A while back I made wafer paper roses for a Wreath Cake and they turned out so pretty.  I decided I better make the flowers again before I forget how they were made.  And I wanted to make Birthday Cookies for a special celebration.

Birthday Scotcharoo Bars!

There are Scotcharoos and then there are Birthday Scotcharoos.  It's like a Rice Krispie Treat dressed up, ready to party.  It is the perfect birthday treat for my daughter who is gluten free and the perfect treat for me because I LOVE Scotcharoos!  They have been a family favorite since I was a little girl and I love them as much now as before.  Maybe better because they are cuter than before!

Cake by the Slice!

If you're wondering what kind of cake you would eat by the ocean, this is it.  Although I would eat this cake anywhere, anytime, anyway.  Normally when you think of a birthday cake, you think of the entire cake, frosted and decorated.  But you have to remember, I'm not normal when it comes to cake, in fact the only reason to decorate the cake and leave it whole is to keep myself from eating any...even a tiny bite.

After making and decorating a cake, the hardest part is waiting for the occasion to eat it.  Guests might notice a slice missing if you cut into it, but don't worry, I've found a solution...by making cake slices, one or two pieces could go missing without notice.  Let me show you just what I mean, cake by the ocean...

Dipped and Decorated!

You know what they say, everything is better with chocolate.  Or did I make that up?  I'm pretty sure you know by now how I love chocolate, right?  And it doesn't have to be over the top, time consuming recipes to make me happy.  In fact, you'll see exactly what I mean...

50th Birthday Suckers

Really, you don't have to turn fifty to make the yummy chocolate suckers I'm about to show you.  I'm pretty sure you'll like them at any age.  And I wanted to get them all dressed up for the party, isn't that the first thing you think of when you're invited to a party?  What you're going to wear?

Chocolate Covered Caramel in a Party Mold!

Finally, I had a reason to use the chocolate party mold I've had for such a long time and also a reason to make the best homemade caramel in the history of caramel.  It's my secret weapon for special favors from my daughter.  It's so good, you can bribe anyone for anything, they will do it.  No one had to bribe me to make these...

Sprinkle Birthday Cookies!

If you know me at all, you know I get an idea in my head and just run with it.  After the sprinkle cones were created, I thought why stop there?  With that thought came sprinkle cookies - these for my sister.
She's old but still likes a sprinkle or two.  Sister, are you reading?  Just checking.
