It's been awhile since I featured a party, and this time I'm going to show you I can be elegant. It doesn't happen often, so I hope you savor the moment, or should I say party?
'Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend' was the theme for the Bridal Shower I recently hosted. After spending too much time searching for the perfect shower invitation, I decided to make them.

I found the Bridal Shower Cricut cartridge on Amazon~
I needed to have a Diamond Themed Drink don't you think?
Keeping with the grey and white chevron theme,
I found fabric to line the counter~
Added grey ric rack and chevron ribbon to decorate the backdrop~
A while back I picked up the crystal strips to use on the stem of my wine glasses~
Peeled them off and stuck them on the glass stems~
With the leftover silver card stock from the invitations, I punched out scalloped circles and added gemstones to the center then glued them on the wine glass.
Oh, and each glass was accompanied by a Candy Filled Diamond~
And because her colors were yellow, grey and white, I used yellow and white candy sixlets.
Diamonds ARE a girls best friend!
Don't go far...I'll be sharing more and more of this Bridal Shower! -
Shine Bright Like A Diamond!
Good to see you doing theme parties again. They are always so spectacular and this one won't disappoint. Love the idea....so "girly"
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of glue did you use to attach to your crystal? Does it come off easily when the night is over?
Thanks Kim for all you do.
Thanks Lexy! I used a little dot glue sticker (ZOTS) - if you have trouble removing them, put them in the freezer and they will pop off.
DeleteVery elegant!
ReplyDeleteThank you Paula - I had fun with elegant for a change!
DeleteKim, I can't believe you made the invites, you always have such an eye for putting everything together in such a great style!

ReplyDeleteThis just blew me away! Love the diamond ring attached to the invite (gotta love those Cricuts). Sure could have used one of the diamond shaped containers last week (60th wedding anniversary). Would you be willing to share your source? Just can't wait to see more! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa! You might have missed the amazon link I added to the bottom of the page with sources for the products I used. Hope this helps! :)
