The Partiologist: Buttons & Bowties Dessert Table

Buttons & Bowties Dessert Table

Well, yes, now I will show you the party table.  Now that all the treats were made, I needed a very special place to display them.  But where, oh yea, my table.  Are you getting tired of looking at my table??  It's the same table, just dressed up for each occasion.

Pretty Pastel Party For Twins!

And would you believe I left out the one dessert that gave me the most trouble?  Well, I'm going to show it to you now.  It's the Twins Baby Cake~
I named a dessert item after each one of the siblings: Lily's Button Lollies, Sophie's Summer S'mores, Toby's Bowtie Cookies and then I had "THE TWINS TAKE THE CAKE"!
Topped with fondant covered cookies and fondant curls.
Filled with yummy chocolate cake!
Displayed in the center of all the goodies!
I made the tablecloth out of a baby quilt, sewed a pennant around the edge, added ribbon and pom poms.  Using more of the pennant, I painted two dowel rods and balls white and strung the pennant between the two.
I spy Bowtie Cookies I forgot to mention!
How could that be?
Bowtie sugar cookies, with a fondant button center!
Stacked VERY carefully!
Also, the center island was covered in pastel flowers holding more pastel candy.
It was such fun to host this shower for a wonderful future mom of twins, I was honored!
I'm pretty sure the kids were on a sugar high for days.  As for me?  I'm Still on a Sugar High!

 Keep Calm and Carry On!

    1. I found them at Hobby Lobby several years ago, I fell in love with them too, so I bought them knowing I would find a way to use them! :)
