I'm a little sad because today is the last of the Back to School Party posts. I guess it's a good thing too, because it's time to start studying. I'm so happy I was the one hosting the party for all the kids going back to school and not actually going back to school. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate school, but I didn't love it either. The parts that I loved were...you guessed it, the fun stuff. Speaking of fun stuff, here's the spread for the students~
Back To School
With pencils in the windows, bright colored pennants hanging from wall to wall and a table full of sweet treats, the students could hardly wait to grab their personalized treat.Back To School
Do you recognize anything?
Everyone loved the mini cinnamon honor rolls!
Of course, I had a few healthy choices.
With a School backdrop! And ART class grabbed center stage.
Besides the crayon glasses I featured a few days ago, I also had juice boxes ready to be filled with apple juice. Added little book worms to the front.
Ready to be filled and served on top of a colored pencil shelf.
With more pencils standing on each side! So what do you do at a back to school party? Well, at my party, I had a class, and I had rules. AND I had signs with the rules.
I had very attentive students, even raising their hand!
And I had fun teaching.
Well, this concludes the last day of school, I do hope you had fun attending!
Class Dismissed!
Wow, not only did you have amazing treats for the kids, but all the decorations look incredible. The pencil shelf is fantastic. What a perfect serving platter. I hadn't noticed the paint pallet cake stand the other day, as I was to busy admiring the paint splat cake pops. Did you make that cake plate or buy it like that? It's really cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth - I love that you notice all the detail! The paint splat cake pops were on an actual white paint palette and then I placed the paint palette on a clear glass cake stand.
Deletedang! why couldn't you be MY teacher when i went to school? i'd even stay after school to help you clean (aka eat everything) :>D
ReplyDeleteI would have been the best teacher - you may not have learned a lot, but you would have had fun! LOL
DeleteKim, omg, you just amaze me every time I stop by. You are so creative, I don't know when you sleep, to do all this, it must have taken ages! I wish I was a little kid going to school again..but only if I could have a party like this!
ReplyDeleteI do plan for parties over the years until I'm ready to actually have the party! Then I start preparing for the party months in advance. And I guess this could be the reason that I don't sleep well! LOL
DeleteI can't believe this is the last of your back to school party! I want more!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love all your creative ideas and beautiful desserts! I give you an A+ and extra credit for all your brilliant thoughts and hard work. LOVE everything you created!!
Thanks Lisa - it's so nice to get an A+ from you!
DeleteLove it all so much! The serving counter had just enough colour to compliment the serving dishes with the banner and the red pencil and primary coloured baskets. I love your signs. With so much to draw your eyes (and stomachs) too at this party they must have come in handy. Simply outstanding!
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing those little baskets and the serving counter banner. I forgot to take a photo after the dishes were all filled so I used the only one I had.
DeleteLoved every detail and enjoyed the back to school journey. The pencil decor is great and I love the cake pops on the palette. Simply amazing!!!! From, twobeautifulgirls
