The Partiologist: BASH Tabletop!

BASH Tabletop!

This past weekend I attended BASH, a Party Conference in Phoenix, Arizona where partiers from all over the world united. We were able to hear first hand, expert tips from the best event/party planners around.  I not only partied, I also competed in a table top competition.  While it was a challenge to get everything from Colorado to Phoenix, my mission was accomplished.

There were some of the most gorgeous tables I had ever seen, they were breathtaking.  I did not win the competition, but I loved my table and want to share it with you. The category for my table was Modern Elegance, decorated in gold, black and white.

Modern Elegance

One thing I was proud to say, everything on my table was created by me.  My table sparkled, glistened and glowed with fairy lights, both in the centerpiece and shining beneath the tulle.

I created the center piece starting with a gold ring and added gold drape fabric and 4" black ribbon.

Turning a clear cake plate upside down, I elevated the black centerpiece.

All the centerpiece stems were from the Christmas clearance at Hobby Lobby.  I added a couple strands of battery operated fairy lights, tucking them in the arrangement.

I had several take home treats for each guest, starting with the cookie.

You might notice the plates are stacked at an angle.  Not a mistake, I planned it this way, making room for the CD (Yep, I'm a mix master!), the cake pop and the BASH Menu.

We had not been given the dinner menu, so I created one.

Arrive in Style
Meet & Mingle
Be Awestruck & Starstruck
Soak up the Sessions
Dine with the Rock Stars
Let Your Dreams Soar
Walk the Red Carpet
Party with The Partiologist

After purchasing the clip art from Etsy, I created all the printables used on the table.  The menu, the napkin ring and the CD Cover.

I carried out the dot theme with the tiny Jelly Belly's and Sixlets.

Added ribbon, gold and black dots to the stemware.

Another photo of the goodies for my table guests.

The cookies before they were packaged.

The cookies were airbrushed, topped with a fondant frame, sash, letters and dots.

Just as the event had come to a close, one of the wait staff came over to me and told me that my table was the wait staff favorite.  Needless to say, I gave her my cookie!  :)

I just loved the gals who sat at my table, I was so happy to have met them all at the conference.  Each and everyone has a special place in my heart!

Come dine with me!

  13. Wow, wow, wow. If your table didn't win, what on earth did the winning table look like? Your's is over the top amazing. I love every single detail. How lucky your table guests were to get lavished with cookies, a cd, candies and more. I can't believe all of this stuff fit in your suitcase and flew in the cargo hold of the plane. You are so incredibly talented and missed your calling to be a professional event planner. You rock!
