Lemon Body Scrub
Happy Mother's Day to Everyone! Every year I think back to when I was a little girl and went to a Mother/Daughter salad supper at our church with my Mom and Grandma. I was asked to recite a poem and being the public speaker I am, I said yes. Turns out, I wasn't much on public speaking. I couldn't eat, and remember sitting at our table, tearing holes in the paper tablecloth. I was a nervous wreck. When it was my turn to walk up in front of every other Daughter, Sister, Mom and Grandma to recite my poem, I froze. Couldn't remember a thing and then I cried. However, not that it's any use now, I still remember that poem to this day and recite it every Mother's Day. Here goes~
While we're honoring our Mothers
With our songs and words of praise,
While we tell about their kindness
And their tender loving ways,
I should like to speak of Grandma
For she's a Mother too, you see
For she Mothered my dear Mother
As my Mother Mothered me!
I'm sure you were all touched by my story and poem, but just in case you are wanting more, here's a super simple body scrub to make. I know there are amazing body scrub recipes out there, only I keep coming back to this. Plain and simple.
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Oil
1 Tsp. Essential Oil
Color
I actually found a fragrance and color made for soaps/scrubs at Hobby Lobby!
And I LOVE Lemon Verbena!
Mix the sugar and oil~
Add the coloring and scent~
Print the Tag & Punch
PRINTABLE
Give to Mom!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM!
I LOVE YOU!
I can't get the printable tags to come up. Is there another link I could go to?
