The Partiologist: Button, Button!

Button, Button!

Button, Button, who has the Button?  In this case, I do and they are in the form of button shaped sweets.  When I ordered the chocolate mold, I didn't know when I would need it, I just knew I would need it.  And yes, I needed it.

Baby Button Lollies

After letting the chocolate set, I added them to a bag and tied with embroidery thread.

Before I knew it I was busy making more buttons.  And HELLO... more chocolate!

The perfect combination - chocolate and buttercream fondant.  My favorite is Duff - so I got busy baking and making.  Now I'm going to show you how...
but really, do you even want to know?

I'll let the pictures to the talking.  Questions?  Please ask!

Knowing the guest of honor was craving coconut with this pregnancy, I had to include something...with coconut!  So many ideas came to mind, I couldn't decide.
Then I found the one.
Coconut Parfaits!

Icy cold and sweet to eat!

Mini spoons topped with buttons!
I had to add another sweet treat to this, so cake pops it was!

My next thought was, how should I display them?  After walking around the house aimlessly, I came up with this simple solution~

I took the lid off of a white photo box, flipped the top and bottom over, sprinkled with buttons - and there you have it!  My layered display!  Party report for what's up...

  3. It's always nice when you can find a use for a candy mold you purchased. I have over a 1000 molds and there are a handful that have never been used. I don't have a button mold and love what you did with all these treats.
