Once I made the Ugly Christmas Sweater Cake, you knew it wouldn't be long until I posted a few Ugly Christmas Sweater Cookies. ONE of the cookies is actually a design from a Christmas sweater I actually wore.
WAIT... I think I have a few more ugly Christmas sweaters in my closet. What was I thinking! Take a look at all the cookies and try to guess which cookie is designed from a sweater I wore. Leave a comment with your guess.
May all your sweaters be Ugly and Bright!
I can't imagine which sweater it would be, but I'll take a guess with the red tree sweater. Cute cookie by the way! Cheryl
ReplyDeleteI might have worn that if I had it! LOL
DeleteMy guess is the black one with the candy canes. My second guess would be the raindeer one!! I just love how these sweaters have made such a great comeback and are now turning into great creations like cookies and cakes. from, twobeautifulgirls
ReplyDeleteYou know me too well, black with the candy canes it was!
Deleteoh my gosh i LOVE all of these-not at all ugly to me! i'm guessing the blue sweater with the snowmen? :>O
ReplyDeleteClose Lisa, I actually had a blue sweater vest with snowmen, so I'll give it to you!
DeleteLove the ugly sweater cookies! Suzanne
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzanne!
DeleteI have no idea which one of these sweaters you would've worn! I must have not been around then! HA! I would have to guess whichever one would be the least itchy is the one you would've worn! HA! They are all adorable and really not that ugly! Especially with your artistic touches! Cheeron!!!
ReplyDeleteYou right on that - I would never wear an itchy sweater! LOL
DeleteAbsolutley adorable! Please come by my blog hop next week and share this! We go live at 7pm ET Tuesdays. )
ReplyDeleteOh course, I would be happy to stop by next week, Thanks!
DeleteI'll stick with my facebook guess...the snowmen. :) Your cookies are anything but ugly! So perfectly done and so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, most of the people have guessed the snowmen, so it looks like I better get that sweater!
DeleteI absolutely adore all of your ideas - I'm just finding you now and I must say I'm now a huge fan! Lynne
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you Lynne, I'm so happy you found me!! :)
DeleteLove your "ugly" sweater cookies! I just saw them in Lisa's Christmas cookie collages! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha..it's your Merry Christmas cookies I saw in Lisa's collages! And I love these too!
ReplyDeleteWasn't Lisa's collage idea the greatest??
DeleteSuch a cute idea for Christmas cookies!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Judy!
DeleteHi. I hope you still follow this thread (pun intended.) I'm wondering what you're using on these cookies to get them to look felted. Are you texturizing fondant, is there a non-sparkling sanding sugar out there or is it a food styling cheat with something non-edible? I'm doing my first ever ugly sweater cookies next week - I've got fondant, meringue powder for the icing, squeeze bottles, sugar decorations, sprinkles, sugars, I THOUGHT I had everything. Now I want, I NEED whatever makes them look like felt! (And edible markers and stamps.) If my results are half as pretty as your ugly sweaters I'll be thrilled. Thanks in advance for your help and Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, what you're seeing on the cookies is buttercream piped on with a basket weave tip and sprinkled with sanding sugar! They are topped with edible candies and fondant.

I almost forgot, thank you and good luck with your sweaters, I'm sure they'll be wonderful! :)
