The Partiologist: Sunflower Seed Chocolate Bark!

Sunflower Seed Chocolate Bark!

You're going to be so excited when I tell you that I have a sweet treat that only involves two ingredients and four steps.  Melt. Pour. Sprinkle. Break.  Oh, and the most important step of all... EAT!

 Sunflower Seed Chocolate Bark

Ready to be served.

Now that I have your attention, here's the how to.

You know how stores have all the great stuff lining up the sides of the check out line?  Most of the time I hear children begging their mom to buy something.  I didn't have any children with me, yet I ended up buying the bright colored sunflower seeds.

And as soon as I returned home I got busy.  Melting chocolate.  Ghirardelli Chocolate Bars.

I broke them into pieces and melted in a mason jar.  It's okay to leave a few clumps, stir until they melt.

Immediately pour onto parchment paper and let sit for a few minutes.

Watching closely, sprinkle the seeds on the chocolate before it's too late or they won't stick, but after it's set enough that the seeds won't sink into the chocolate.  The chocolate has to be just right.  (I just had a goldilocks moment).

If you like, let some sink and then sprinkle more on top.

Place the tray of chocolate into the refrigerator.  After it is firm, lift off the parchment paper and break into chunks.

You have my permission to eat as much as you want.  It's a health food.  Dark chocolate has antioxidants, sunflower seeds are protein and bright colors make you happy.

Just thinking about eating it makes me happy.

You can have it done in 30 minutes - start to finish.

It's not a Party without my PEEPS!
