Animal Kingdom Cookies!

EEK!  It's nothing new to find me making themed Mickey cookies, but these are designs you may have never ever thought of me making.  I know I never did, at least not until one morning at 3:00 a.m. when I popped awake with the idea.  And no, I didn't go back to sleep, I got up and begin designing Mickey & Minnie Animal Kingdom cookies.

Let me tell you how and why they happened.

When my very good friend Beth, of Hungry Happenings (be sure to check out her blog) told me she was going to Disney World and would be there over her birthday, I knew I wanted to make something for her.  Beth LOVES animals and has actually gone on a real safari.  I didn't know exactly what I was going to make, until 3:00 a.m.

I really don't know why these ideas don't come to me at 3:00 p.m.  Anyway, once I decided what to make, I couldn't wait to get started.

 

 

Now, before you start asking, I need to let you know...these cookies are not for sale.  I just love making Disney themed cookies for very special occasions to give.  Each cookie was made with a stencil, also not for sale.

 

They all came out just as I hoped, well with the exception of one.  I almost didn't send it along and my daughter talked me into it.  Can you guess?

The Giraffe was fun to make.

Along with the Tiger.

But really, this my favorite.  The Lion King.

And then this came to mind.  Because I never know which direction to go when visiting Animal Kingdom.

Not once, but twice.

A jungle safari wouldn't be complete without Minnie as your guide.

So many reasons to celebrate the Wild!  I'm hoping I'll be visiting Disney World soon, but for now I'm enjoying the cookies.
