Today things are a little different. In a good way. Hopefully you're all receiving this blog post through my new subscriber service. It's still me, The Partiologist, only coming to you in a new and improved way. Speaking of me, don't you think it's time to party?
Fourth of July Party!
Yes, it's almost time to celebrate the 4th of July with cupcakes and so much more! I hosted this party for my family last year and it was a blast.
The island was full of festive Fourth of July themed desserts.
And the most simple décor.
A pinwheel. Well, actually two pinwheels.
So many choices.
Let's take a closer look. It wouldn't be a party without a Rice Krispie Treat.
These were topped with a red chocolate stars and stripes heart. If they were topped with dark chocolate they could possibly be in my top five favorites.
For sure the Peanut Butter Chocolate Stars are in my top five, if not, my top favorite.
Yes, these are homemade and oh so good!
Another family favorite is the coconut macaroon.
How do you make a coconut macaroon patriotic? Put them in a bag with a sticker.
I didn't make the caramel popcorn, but had to have it to fill my stars and stripes bags.
Aren't the bags fun?
These cupcakes were on fire. Literally.
Each was topped with an indoor sparkler.
Who still enjoys a chocolate covered Oreo?
Of course they were part of the party.
And because I had the Uncle Sam party picks, I went with truffles.
Covered with red, white and blue jimmies.
Oh my, another patriotic dessert. You can't see, but red, white and blue pretzels filled the stars and striped bags.
Goodness, I didn't realize I had made so many things.
I thought I was done, but then...homemade caramel apples with patriotic pinwheels.
They were the centerpiece and dessert.
I think a chocolate covered caramel apple is another favorite. I sure have a lot of favorites!
No need for a birthday to have gifts, I had something for each of my guests...I mean family.
It was a Star Spangled Day!
So many fun dessert choices. The caramel apples topped with the pinwheels are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI almost didn't make them, but because of the pinwheels I went for it and I was glad I did! :)
