The Partiologist: Doc McStuffin Muffins & More!

Doc McStuffin Muffins & More!

After a brief break from the Doc, it's time to go back for another check-up.
This cupcake idea for the party seemed simple and it was simple!  It was the first thing I thought of when I looked at the Doc McStuffin gang.  How hard could it be to recreate, it's a cut out circle layered on another circle, topped with a band aid.  I could totally see that as a cupcake topper!  And now you can too!

DOC MCSTUFFIN MUFFINS

In just a few steps, okay...15 steps, you can make these toppers too~
Roll and cut white fondant with a   2 1/4" round cutter.
Roll and cut red fondant with a  1 3/4" round cutter.
Cut a  1" circle from the middle of the red circle.
Place the red fondant ring on top of the white circle.
Color flesh fondant to get band aid color.
Roll out and cut flesh colored fondant into a rectangle.
Make lines in the middle with toothpick.
Press tip of #3 decorating tip partially through the fondant.
Roll and cut red fondant with a mini heart cutter.
Stick red heart to middle of band aid (brush a little water on back of heart).
Pipe frosting in the middle of the red circle and apply band aid.

And you're done!

While making the cupcakes, I thought I should use a "real" band aid!  But how?  First I embellished the band aid with a red heart.  Then I filled small white paper bags with a rice krispie treat.  Now, fold the top down (hot glue to make sure it doesn't come open) and add the band aid.  You could fill the bags with ANYTHING - Doctor supplies perhaps?
And you can make these with only six steps!
Band-Aids
White Bags
Heart punch and red sticker paper
Rice Krispie Treats (Or any treat - maybe plastic doctor supplies?)
Bag them up and seal with a band aid.  (I hot glued the bag first to make sure it stayed shut)

Today's the last of my Doc McStuffin goodies, I know, I'm kind of sad too. As you can see, I had a good time creating treats for the party and I think they'll be pleased. All they wanted were cookies, but I just couldn't stop. So I added cupcakes with Party Picks. Take a look~
I glued a printable cupcake topper (punched out with a scalloped punch) to small white cookie sticks and added a white ribbon.
Sweeeeet Huh? I hope you said yes because you can print them too!
If you're just not that into cupcakes, could I interest you in a rice krispie treat...Doc McStuffin style?
So simple, yet sweet. Make rice krispie treats, add a Popsicle stick, drizzle purple candy melts and add blue candies. Print the tag and tie them up! Yes, you can print the tag too!

I hope you enjoyed the trip to see Doc McStuffins as much as I did making the treats!

  8. When you are having a Doc McStuffin themed party I suspect that you can never have enough different types of treats. What you created for this little girl's party must have thrilled her to no end. It'll definitely be a birthday she'll long remember.
