Even though my next few posts are from the baby shower - they could easily be used for any spring/summer event. With buttons and bowties being my theme in pastel colors and because I only had a week to get everything finished, I made a couple of simple, but very sweet treats!
Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Sticks
Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Sticks
So simple and cute don't you think?
I started with a bag of marshmallow twists from the Dollar Store. Cut them in half and dipped the cut side into melted chocolate. Before the chocolate set, I added pastel sprinkles. To keep the marshmallows from drying out, I sealed them in a zip lock bag and placed them in the freezer.
And as long as I was dipping, why not dip pretzels too? In pretty pastel colors!
Do you remember Dotted Swiss Fabric? That's what these pretzels reminded me of.
After the pretzels were dipped, I had time to make more. This time OREO'S~
After coating the Oreo's with the pastel candy melts, I wanted to add a bow tie. I made several bow ties and they all look ridiculous! Then it came to me - make a tiny bow tie on a onesie. So that is exactly what I did, it was quite simple and I loved the result!
I molded several teeny tiny bow ties out of pastel colored fondant. Rolled out and then pressed a stripe pattern in white fondant with the No. 1 strip cutter. Next, I cut out the tiny onesie with my mini cookie cutter, topped it with the bow tie and placed it on the Oreo.
What cha waiting for...It's time to get dippin'!
It's Always Pretty In Pastel!
Adorable. Kathy
