The Partiologist: Leopard Themed Wine & Cheese Party!

Leopard Themed Wine & Cheese Party!

Is anyone ready to party?  Maybe you're planning a party but don't know what kind of party to have?  I knew you were, so that's why I'm featuring this WILD leopard themed party.  Starting with the DIY invitations.

Leopard Themed Wine & Cheese Party

I am wild about this leopard themed party...you're in for an animal frenzy!

Besides being a Leopard themed party, it was also a Wine & Cheese party.

I made the invitations with my Cricut and after printing 18, one by one, I realized that I had printed the wrong date!  So, I started over... recut and reprinted all the invitations.  Maybe it was because it was 3:00 a.m. and I don't think too clearly at 3:00 a.m.?  Nope, I hardly ever think clearly.

After I decided to incorporate wine and cheese into the Leopard themed party, I questioned myself.  I don't drink wine and I don't eat cheese, at least not in chunks.  So, let me tell you, I had to do my research on wine and cheese pairings.  I hope I got it right, if I didn't, it's too late.  The party is over and the wine and cheese is gone.  Here's how it went down...

Wine & Cheese

Please notice the beautiful slate where the cheese was served.  I went shopping.  Not at Williams Sonoma nor Crate & Barrel, in fact, I went shopping at Lowes.

I loved what I found.

Slate tile slabs.  $4.99 each.

Leopard flowers and butterflies adorned the backdrop.

Grab a plate and let's get started...

Brie and Gorgonzola cheese along with green grapes, figs and almonds.

Manchego and Gouda cheese along with red grapes, walnuts and olives...

Gruyere and Mozzarella cheese along with apple and pear slices, dried cranberries and mixed nuts.

Blue Cheese and Havarti, along with green apple slices, dried apricots and roasted peanuts.

I realize I didn't mention the wine.  Because I lost my photos and I didn't keep my notes, your guess is as good as mine.  Maybe you recognized the bottles?

I placed all the slate tiles at a diagonal, making room for the wine and the wine glasses, each tied with a leopard print tulle ribbon.

I had my cheetah keep a watchful eye over the bread and crackers.

I've got more counters full of wild sweets you won't want to miss.

It's a Wild One!

  1. You don't eat cheese???? It's one of the 5 food groups, isn't it? I can't image life without cheese. I love how you used the slate tiles to serve the cheese. Very clever and frugal.

    1. I do believe it is, I should clarify, I don't eat cheese in chunks. If a little melted cheese sneaks on a pizza or in a taco, I'm in! LOL

  2. Lowe's? hey that's genius! and not to mention all the fru fru surrounding it. no wonder you had a cheetah watch everything! ;) also i think making invites at 3am calls for a bottle of wine, not glass of wine, and that's coming from someone like me who doesn't even drink! LOL :)

    1. It's probably not the best idea to be printing ANYTHING at 3:00 a.m. LOL Thanks Lisa!

  6. What a steal with those slate tiles! You know we're all going to run out and borrow this idea from you ;) As many parties as I throw too you'd think I'd have the wine and cheese thing down too, nope, I don't. One of these days I'll throw a wine and cheese party and I'll have your post to reference :D
