The Partiologist: Rudolf Cake Pops!

Rudolf Cake Pops!

It's one day before Christmas eve...and you're looking for something simple?  Not today folks, but if you want to see a Rudolf cake pop you're going to love, this is for you!

Maybe file it away for another day, like next Christmas?

Rudolf Cake Pops!

Let's grab the season by the antlers!

Really, they're not too complicated, you just need a little time.

At least overnight.

This is why~

The antlers need to be made at least 24 hours in advance to let dry until they are hard.

Press brown fondant into the coral from the Wilton Sea Life mold.

Filling in only the top portion.  (Fill in the entire top, oops I took the photo before the top right portion of the antler was filled)

Remove from mold and form the antlers to place in the cake pop, both on the right and left side.

Lay aside and let dry.

Another option would be to use the Wilton Cupcake Decorating Kit, Reindeer TreatNow why didn't I think of it sooner??

After your antlers are dry (something I never thought I would say), make the cake pops.

Any cake pop flavor you wish.

Melt light brown candy melts, I like to melt the candy in a mason jar.

Dip end of stick into the candy melts and then into the cake pop.

Dip the entire cake pop into the melted candy melts.

Before the candy melts set, add the antlers.

After the antlers are added and the cake pop has dried, add the eyes and red nose.

I used a red gumball for the nose and royal icing eyes.

Pipe a squiggle of white frosting with the Wilton #18 star tip across the top of the cake pop.

Cut holly out of green fondant.

Add the green holly to the frosting and a small red candy for the berry.

To complete the look, tie a ribbon around a striped straw

Slide the straw over the cake pop stick.
