The Partiologist: Football Party Mix!

Football Party Mix!

It's almost time for another day of football.  Don't get me wrong, I'll sit and watch football all day long if I can snack on this football party mix.  Okay, that was a lie, I'll sit and watch a little football and eat a lot of the party mix.

Football Party Mix!

I think the packaging makes it more fun to eat.

Why is it called football party mix?

The pretzels are shaped like footballs!

Did you notice the orange and blue M & M's?

Now you know what team I'm cheering for.

You can cheer for any team by swapping out the colors of M & M's.

It's just about time for kick off, so lets get started.

My husband came home with the football shaped pretzels.

He doesn't usually contribute to my blog, so I was quite excited when he saw the pretzels and thought of me.  Or maybe he thought of football?

Anyway, along with Corn Chex, Rice Chex, M & M's and almonds, you're ready to get started.

Follow the recipe below.

Pick out your team colors from a large bag of M & M's.

After the mix comes out of the oven, sprinkle with the M & M's.

While the mix is cooling, make the bag.

(If you want to use a bowl, skip this step)  LOL

I made the football lace template and cut it out of white adhesive paper with my Cricut.

You can also just cut strips of white adhesive paper and stick on the bag.

Speaking of the bag...use a brown paper lunch sack.

Roll the top down.

Cut a large piece of green tissue paper in a square.

Line the bag with the tissue paper.

Pour in the mix and you're ready for game day!

Just in case you need a snack on the go?

Fill a cellophane bag with the mix and tie it up.

It's also a good way to make sure you don't eat it all before kickoff.
