If you're beginning to look for ways to cut down the stress level this Christmas, look no further. Seriously, if you can melt and mix, this donut is for you. Wait, you'll need to sprinkle too!
Christmas RKT Donut!
And they can be made into a gazillion things, ask me how I know.
This is gazillion and one.
I almost made this really complicated by trying to make my own sprinkles.
Then I remembered...no one wants complicated, right?
And this is one donut I can eat. Did you know I had to give up eating donuts, like 20+ years ago? Yep, you could say I had a problem with portion control.
And did you notice I did not cut into the RKT donut to take a photo of a slice? You know the reason.
I did however, take a few photos of the process along the way.
Remember the donut pan from yesteryear?
I decided it was time to make a jumbo donut. Or you could make regular size donuts like the ones HERE. Only change up the sprinkles.
Mix up the RKT mixture following the recipe HERE.
Grease the bottom and sides of the silicone donut mold.
Press in the Rice Krispie mixture until it is even with the side of the mold.
Make sure you have pressed the mixture in very tight, refrigerate until firm.
Place the donuts together, making sure they line up.
YAY! They lined up perfectly!
Next, melt chocolate candy melts in candy decorating bag, by microwaving at 30 second intervals until completely melted
Cut the tip off the bag and begin drizzling the chocolate over the donut, letting it drip down the sides.
Right before the chocolate is firm, sprinkle with red, white and green jimmies.
To add a little flair, top with a few fondant holly leaves and sugar pearl berries.
Donuts...All Decked Out!
Wow, that pan created the perfect rice krispie treat donut. I love how you decorated it for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAnother use for the donut pan, right? Thank you!
