The Partiologist: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I did it.. yep, I just couldn't let the New Year arrive without a Celebration for my family.  And it just so happens that we received a wonderful Christmas gift of Omaha Steaks!!  And that alone was worth a celebration...

New Year Party Table
A few more Views and then the How To's.

Notice the place mats - they are 12 x 12 Glitter Card Stock!

The Centerpiece with a vase filled with Artificial Snow, Sparkly Stems and Sparkly Christmas Bulbs.

After gathering a few supplies.

It started with my trusty White Table Runner and ribbon.

The Pretty Party Glasses.

I glued pom poms to the ends of each pipe cleaner, then wrapped them around each glass stem.

And the Firework Napkins.

After wrapping up the cloth napkin and twisting pipe cleaners around, I then used a wooden spoon handle to make the Curly Q's~

Then cute little pudding shots.

Oh, and my custom designed stem ware.

I used glitter glue and decorated the outside!

Later I'll be filling them!

A little treat on each place setting.

Sea Salt Chocolate Caramels were nestled in beds of metallic streamers then placed in delicate little glasses.

Of course I decorated the dessert plates.

With chocolate and fondant!

Soon to hold our Chocolate Molten Cakes.

And I had to make these little sugar dipped marshmallows.

This festive idea came from Meaghan Montfort's new book Sugarlicious!

You can view her instructions HERE~

I used coarse sanding sugar, added more to the glasses and the 2012 Toppers!

Printed the numbers out on the computer and punched them out.

Oh, I can't say what's in these, it might spoil the surprise.

Confetti and Party Horns to ring in the new year!

Cellophane bags filled with confetti and wrapped around party horns.

You can celebrate the New Year any time you want, because you know what they say... it's five twelve o'clock somewhere!

Where Ever, When Ever you celebrate, Have A Happy New Year!

  2. I am so thrilled with your outstanding New Year decorating ideas. You are so creative and this is absolutely a stunning post. Thank you.

I tried to find an e-mail address for you but couldn't see it on your blog. So I'll post my comment here but really didn't want to do it publicly. Do you realize that you have the silverware set up on the table incorrectly? The forks should be to the left of the plate and the knives to the right. Please forgive me for mentioning that when in reality I'm blown away with the beauty of the display. Thank you so much for sharing.

  4. Thank you for sharing your beautiful table!!! I love it! I always put the silverware the way you do and I have even looked in books that show it that way...so I guess it just depends who writes the book:) Looks like it is going to be a fun New Years Eve. Hope you can stay up until midnight...after all that work I would be exhausted!

  5. Yes, you set a beautiful table and throw fabulous parties! Today, there is no right or wrong way to set the table - people are getting away from the traditional and often set the table according to what utensil you need in which order to best serve your different courses! I love getting off the well-beaten paths! This is a fantastic idea and so colorful! A wonderful way to start out the new year! Cheeron! Happy New Year!
