The Partiologist: Gingerbread House Decorating Party!

Gingerbread House Decorating Party!

You've got to see the Gingerbread invitation I made for my family. Do you think it's weird to make an invitation for my family when they already know there is going to be a party? And is it even weirder to spend hours making the invitation?

Maybe, but I have to admit I'm a little weird and I love it.

Gingerbread House Decorating Party!

Well, I had to leave the reveal for those who really wanted to see the invitation! And if you're reading now, here it is!

Using my cricut and a few supplies, my little GB girl was ready. Only after hours of cutting and designing.

So if you want to make an invitation for your gingerbread decorating party, you better start now.

The gingerbread girl was all one piece and I made it so that the arms could hold the invitation. After several attempts, I finally got it.

Then I printed the information on a little business card and placed it under her arms.

I didn't need to add much detail, since they already knew about the party!  LOL

What they didn't know, was what was in store for the party.

Keeping it simple this year, I bought pre-built gingerbread houses, ready to decorate. And a few gingerbread sweets to nibble on during the party.

Our main dessert was the gingerbread cheesecake. If you want to know how I made it, click HERE.

It can be made ahead of time, wrapped in saran and frozen.

Another little munchie, were the gingerbread Christmas tree cookies drizzled with chocolate.

One of the best combinations, gingerbread and chocolate! Trust me.

Next, the RKT. They don't taste like gingerbread, but look gingerbread festive. I made a gingerbread man from chocolate and placed atop the RKT.

Over on the counter were little bowls filled with décor for the gingerbread house.

Everything we could possibly need and more.

Before decorating, we had dinner. Because who wants to decorate a gingerbread house when their stomach is gowling?

Galvanized trees and red ornaments filled the center of the table.

It was a very merry meal.

I can't remember what it was, but I do know I cooked. Like real food.

I may be the only one who does a little party just to decorate a gingerbread house. But that's me.

If there's a reason, there's a party.

I hope you have a very MERRY gingerbread party!
