The Partiologist: Frrrozen Hot Chocolate!

Frrrozen Hot Chocolate!

Okay, I know this isn't a party, but If I had this recipe it would have been perfect for my Chocotherapy Party and I'm really into these frozen drinks!  Have you ever made Frozen Hot Chocolate?

Frozen Hot Chocolate

Have you visited Serendipity in New York or any other place?

I have been to the one in New York, but the wait was too long so I didn't have the chance to enjoy their Frrrozen Hot Chocolate.

So this afternoon, I turned my frown upside down and made this recipe.

Really, it might have been worth the wait, it is so delicious.

Oprah got them to spill the beans and give out the recipe!

Ingredients

6 pieces (1/2-ounce) chocolate , a variety of your favorites
2 teaspoons store-bought hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups ice
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings

Directions

Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add ½ cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

One for me...and one for you~

You didn't get here in time and I ate them both.

Sorry!

But it is so simple, you can make one in a snap!
