Let's talk about Sunflower Dining. You know this is my favorite part of the party, getting to set everything up. I set the table at least a week before the party to allow for any minor adjustments! The day of the party is even more fun - that's when I get to put all the treats on display!
Sunflower Party Table
A Sunflower Cookie had to be a part of this party which I added to each place setting. And, of course I made it a lot harder then it had to be. I guess I really like to make more work for myself, although I was pleased in the end.

Filled with a chocolate center!
Here's the extra work~
I wanted a sparkly smooth center and this is how I did it.
1. Placed two dark cocoa candy melts in cupcake holder and melted in a warm oven.
2. Placed the tray in the refrigerator to harden the candy then flipped them out.
3. Placed on waxed paper, brushed with Karo Syrup and sprinkled brown sanding sugar on top.
Now on to decorating the cookie
Started piping sunflower yellow frosting for the petals with Wilton Tip #352
Added the second layer of petals
Plopped the chocolate sugary disk in the center
You could totally use an OREO for the center - EASY!
Ready to Party!
Keeping the Sunflower theme, I also added Sunflower Cupcakes~
Decorated almost the same as the cookie, only this time I piped brown frosting in the center with the grass tip, added green leaves and a ladybug decorated M & M. Placed in red cupcake wrappers I made with my Cricut.
Come for Fun, Stay for Flowers! Fun Flowers are Sun Flowers!
While this cake was not a request of the birthday girl, I had the pan and wanted to make a Sunflower Bundt Cake. I thought it would look pretty on the table. And it did...My Big Bundt Sunflower Cake!
I made a lemon bundt cake so it would look like a sunflower and added a few leaves. There is a great recipe I found on the Williams Sonoma website ~
Another way I've made the sunflower cake is by sugaring the pan before baking to add some sparkle to the cake!
Only the photo doesn't really show the sugar on the cake, (couldn't find the sugar button on the camera) but I promise it is there!
Besides the large sunflower bundt cake pan, I also have the mini sunflower bundt cake pan. I just HAD to make chocolate sunflower mini cakes!
Sprinkled with powdered sugar.
On the table I served them in a galvanized tray.
So there you have it, big bundts or mini bundts! Take your pick.
