The Partiologist: How to Get Organized!

How to Get Organized!

If you're a crafter of any kind, you've probably noticed it's beginning to look a bit like Christmas.  That's right, only 10 weeks until Christmas Day!  Sorry to spring that on you this early in the day, it's just I'm so excited!  In order to keep the excitement and the hustle in my bustle, I always get prepared.  Today I'll show you how...starting with sprinkles.  A girl can never have too many sprinkles, it's a fact.

This is my drawer of sugar sprinkles, food color, edible glitter, paint brushes and more.  I turn the bottles upside down so I can see what's inside at a glance.  You notice all the blue sprinkles?  When I went to the store, I couldn't remember if I had blue sprinkles, so I bought them.  Every. Time.  Pretty sure I now have enough blue sprinkles!
Now, please remember, I am The Partiologist, I do need a lot of sprinkles and embellishments.  So behind the doors in my great room, where you should be finding something of great importance, you find more sprinkles.  Each separated into clear containers according to color.

Did I mention they are stacked two deep?  All the containers I purchased from our deli.

Not only do I have a love for regular size cookie cutters (you can take a peek HERE), I also love mini cookie cutters.  Placing them in photo storage containers and labeling each one, makes them easy to find.

A cookie friend shared this idea years ago and I thought it was brilliant.
What do you do with tiny cupboards?

I fill them with sprinkles...

and more sprinkles.  Recently I have been loving stamping and stenciling on cookies, so I thought it would be best if I organized all my stencils.

In a three ring binder, I added sheet protectors, inserted pink (because I'm The Partiologist) cardstock with the stencils taped to each page.  Then I sorted out the type of stencil and added a sticky divider to each page..

Using painters tape, they are easy to remove.

I use a lot of fondant decorations for so many of my projects, I sometimes make a few extra to keep on hand.  After letting the fondant completely dry, I store them in acrylic boxes and sort according to season.

Seeing these make me so excited for Christmas, so get your Elf off the Shelf and organize! Let me be the first to wish you...

Happy Holidays!

  1. I need to get some of those containers to store my cookie cutters. Mine are all in big bins and I have to sort through them to find what I need. What kind of containers did you use?

    1. The containers for my regular size cutters are clear storage containers from Target and the mini (photo storage boxes) you can find at Hobby Lobby and Joann Fabrics. I used to have to sort through mine too and this makes it so much easier!
