The Partiologist: A Charlie Brown Christmas Party!

A Charlie Brown Christmas Party!

Today I'm back with one of my favorite guys...Charlie Brown.  I mean really, who doesn't love him?  I remember sitting down to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas long before there were DVD's, TiVo or even remotes.  And did you know it's the 50th Anniversary of the movie?  Now it seems Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang are everywhere and I can watch it anytime and make it party time!

In Oriental Trading's exclusive A Charlie Brown Christmas collection, I found so many fun crafts to make, then I realized...not only could they be used as crafts, they could be used as dessert décor.  This is one of the many ways I found to use the products!

Snoopy Topped Brownies

When Oriental Trading came out with the Charlie Brown Christmas collection, I knew exactly what I wanted.

Is this not the cutest backdrop ever?  Snoopy on his doghouse was perfect for the dessert table.

When I took the backdrop out of the box, it was even better than I had expected, bright colors and so tall.  I just loved it and put it up right away on a blanket of faux snow.

Take a look at everything I was inspired to make with the products from Oriental Trading~

Front and center I filled the adorable Happy Holiday Bags with a jumbo Rice Krispie Treat.
Here's how~

Make a double recipe of the rice krispie treats and spread into two jelly roll pans and refrigerate.

After they have cooled, remove from pan and cut into three jumbo slices.

Making sure they will fit the bags.

I wanted to make sure the entire Snoopy would show up.

Drizzle each piece of rice krispie with chocolate and sprinkle on red and green mini M & M's.

Refrigerate again.

Once it has been refrigerated and the chocolate hardened, slide into bag and fold over and tape.

Each of the bags show all the designs while showcasing your Rice Krispie Treat.

Here's my favorite of the crafts, Snoopy's dog house!

I would recommend attaching the sides and roof with a hot glue gun.

Giving the children all the pieces to decorate.

There are so many foam stickers included with the dog house, the kids can decorate the front, back, sides and roof!

I used a few of the stickers for other purposes too!

Like the topper for cake pops.

After dipping the cake pops in green candy melts, I stuck two of the foam gifts together and added them to the cake pop stick.

Another piece I used from the dog house kit was the stocking.

Dip each marshmallow into melted chocolate and sprinkle with peppermint pieces.

Stick a foam stocking on each stick.

Another easy treat to add to your dessert table is Chocolate Covered Oreo's~

Too easy not to make!
Just drizzle a little chocolate over the cookie and add red and green sprinkles.

Taking a few foam pieces with Snoopy on his dog house from the craft kit, I added them to the top of brownies!

They couldn't have been easier!

Here's how~

This is the adorable little craft kit.

After baking and frosting the brownies, I added a big dollop of white frosting and white sanding sugar.

Placed the doghouse into the frosting.

I think they were my favorite treats!

On each side of the table were desserts using the cupcake liners.

Oriental Trading has it all...

Including the Charlie Brown cupcake liners with matching picks.

I used them both!

Yummy red velvet cupcakes with whipped cream cheese frosting.

I placed each cupcake liner into a dessert cup.

The green cupcake liners were filled with Bing Cherry Dessert.

Each topped with the matching cupcake topper.

It's not a party without a chocolate dipped pretzel, right?

These pretzels were not only dipped and sprinkled, they were presented in a tube, with a Christmas Tree!

Here's how~

Start with long pretzel rods.

Green candy melts and yellow sprinkles.

After dipping and sprinkling the pretzel, let set to dry.

Place each pretzel in the plastic tube.

Using the foam tree from the craft, hot glue to the bottom of the pretzel tube.

The tubes were also from Oriental Trading!

And there's more...

With the jumbo roll of stickers, so many ideas came to mind.

I decided to add a sticker to a bag and fill with M & M's!

But what's in the Take Home Bag?

With all the fun crafts included in Oriental Trading's exclusive Charlie Brown Christmas Party supplies, a take home bag was necessary.

I decorated the front of a white paper bag using stickers from the Charlie Brown collection, then tied it with ribbon.

Each bag was filled with goodies galore!

The stickers I used on the front of the bag are also a sticker scene for the kids to create.

Then there were the little Peanuts inspired rubber bracelets, I used to wrap around each sticker set, before adding to the bag.

More stickers added.

This is the snoopy dog and doghouse craft.

And the 3D Foam Christmas scene.

I tied a cupcake topper to the top of each pencil.

It was a great party filled with fun sweets and treats.

Good Grief Charlie Brown, where are the cookies?
