The Partiologist: Easter Dinner!

Easter Dinner!

Spending time with my family was the best way I could have celebrated Easter in 2019. And in 2020.  And I'm looking forward to 2021! I'm even saying that when it included cooking.  Not just baking, but cooking...like real food.

Easter 2019

I love going through my Easter décor and setting the table.

And for dessert, it was Carrot Cake.  My husbands favorite and it's one of my favorites too.  Topped with a nest of Malted Milk Easter Eggs.

Before lunch we played a game.

My table was pretty, simple and colorful.

Polka dot egg place mats and bunny ear napkin rings to hold the color trimmed stitched napkins.

The center candle sticks held Eggs.

And the menu was Delicious.

I told you about playing a game, well besides hunting for eggs, what other game could you play?

Easter Egg Wheel Of Fortune!

I'm really not sure what this wheel was meant for, because any type of egg would fall out immediately.  I was thinking it would be so pretty to hold colored eggs, but in real life that would never work.

So I reinvented the wheel.  Into a Easter Egg WHEEL OF FORTUNE!

I filled the plastic eggs with money, then hot glued the eggs into the wheel.  We passed the wheel around and each one would spin.  What ever egg landed at the bottom they would open the top of the egg and win the money.  However, they would close up the egg for the next spin so they could possibly get an empty egg.  But we played until all the eggs were open and all the money was gone.

Then it was time for dessert.

A carrot cake, chocolate dipped strawberries and pastel M & M's.

I barely get done with lunch and I am ready for dessert.  No one else was quite ready, so I had to wait a bit.  But that cake was worth the wait.

I colored coconut green to make the nest.  Placed it on the cake and topped with the malted milk Easter eggs.

He is Risen!
Happy Easter!
