The Partiologist: Fall Cookies

Fall Cookies

Yikes! October is a couple days away, I can't seem to wind down the summer vibes and think about fall. Because you know what happens soon after? Brrrrrr...But after making these cookies and feeling the chill in the air (notice I didn't say anything about being cold) I'm kind of excited. Kind of.

The best part of making cookies is when my customer tells me I can do what I want. And I get to try new things and if it doesn't work, no one will know but me.

These were a favorite, making the tiny leaves and yes they're edible!

And truthfully, after I baked and iced them in brown, I was very nervous about the outcome.

Then I was very happy!

More fun was to try the puffy leaf...and I don't know why they stayed puffy and didn't bleed into the white icing. I know when I try again they'll get dents and bleed.

And for someone celebrating their 21st birthday!

I think baseball might be over, but I'm not sure. I guess you can enjoy a baseball cookie anytime!

It might be awhile before we're traveling overseas, but these were made for a retirement...back in the good old days. Remember those days?

And with Halloween only a month away, what better way to plan to celebrate than with a candy corn Trick or Treat Cookie? Please tell me, how are you planning to celebrate Halloween???

I guess as long as I'm baking leaves and not raking leaves, I'm happy!

Happy Fall...Y'all!
