The Partiologist: Miss Mcgregor's Garden!

Miss Mcgregor's Garden!

I couldn't have an Easter Party without Mr. Miss McGregor's Garden!

Carrot Cupcakes

While Peter Cottontail was hopping down the bunny trail, he stopped off at my garden and just before he got into the carrot patch, I was able to catch him!
Thank goodness, or he would have eaten all the Peas and Carrots out of my garden.  Oh yes, I grew some carrots...Cupcakes that is!
And you can grow some too.
Filled small terracotta pots with cupcake liners, sprayed with Pam.  Make chocolate cake - (my favorite) fill 3/4 full and bake!  Let them cool then frost with green frosting and a grass tip.  My kind of gardening!

Now for the Carrots...Cookies!
Bake the carrot cookies.

Frost the cookies.

Clean the edge of each cookie.

Sprinkle w/sugar.

Add green tops and ribbon.

Stick in the Cupcake
After harvesting the peas & carrots, I added them to carrot shaped snack bags.
Add the Peas and Carrots (Jelly Beans) and a few peanuts to the Popcorn.
Then Drizzle with Chocolate (drizzling or dipping - it's better with chocolate)!
Break apart, fill the little carrot bags and then you'll have "Bunny Trail Mix"!
After the guests left with all their carrots, I was able to let Peter out from under the glass.  He was very appreciative.  And hot.

There Goes Peter Cottontail!

  3. A beautiful garden! You definitely have a green thumb . I looked everywhere for the carrot bags, because everyone enjoyed them so much last year, but I couldn't locate any. They sure look nice with the theme of your decorations.

  7. I love your gardening methods. This is one garden like you, that I could grow. (big smile) Cute cute ideas. You never cease to amaze me with your ideas and creativity. I too think I'll be doing these for grandkids. My daughter also showed me the cutest carrot 'strawberries' covered in orange candy melts on pinterest. Think I'll use those instead of having to make the cookie carrots because of time. A little bit on the runt side but I think a little less work when I have to make 25. I'll put them in your darling cupcake pots though. Also you peas and carrtos are just delightful. Love 'em. So clever...so very clever!!!
