I really didn't know what to call this post, Inch Worm in a Cupcake? I bet everyone would click to see what that was all about! So, if you clicked, you'll be glad you did, cuz this little fellow is the first of my insects this spring. What do you think? May Day? Teacher Appreciation? No Reason?
And these were brought to my attention! Hungry Caterpillar & Earth Day!

Caterpillar Cookies & Cupcakes
Glass jars used for canning. I know this because my mom canned everything. Now King Soopers does most of my canning. But I knew the jars existed, so I got some, sprayed them with Pam. Made a chocolate cake and put the batter in the jars. Baked them in a 8" pan. After they were cooled, I topped them with dirt colored frosting mixed with OREOS.
Now for my fuzzy little Caterpillar cookie~
Bake up some cookies, add the black antennae. Using the grass tip I started piping two colors of green fuzzy fur on the Caterpillar. Added eyes and a mouth and then stuck it in the cupcake! This would have been the perfect little critter for my garden party...more on that later.
Then another awesome thing I did was make a printable for you. Now next year on my birthday I will be able to say that I made two printables! Who knows, I might become a computer wizard.
I printed it out on Avery White Business Cards #8875 and then they were each the perfect size. You know how I like everything to be uniform in size. Then tied it to the jar with green ribbon.
But I decided that Inching Along For You was dumb, so now it's just a worm. An Inch Worm.
Are you Inching Along For Me?
What a cute idea!

ReplyDeleteLove these little guys. Some caterpillar quotes that give me new ideas on when this great treat could be used...
ReplyDelete“The caterpillar does all the work but the butterfly gets all the publicity”
George Carlin
“A caterpillar who seeks to know himself would never become a butterfly” Andre Gide
I knew someone out there would help me out! :)
