The Partiologist: It's A Wrap!

It's A Wrap!

It's time to wrap it up for Christmas - gift wrapping that is.  While I used to host Christmas Day at my home, the past few years we have been on the traveling end.  So that means gifts stacked in the back, one on top of another, slipping and sliding.  It's over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go.  And that means a lot of smashed bows.  So I decided to make gift wrapping simple and effective.

Christmas Wrap

There is a reason the gifts are not under the tree.  They were being loaded up to make the trip to Grandmother's house.  I had to hurry and stack a few together and grab a photo.

These are the gifts for the nieces and nephews, I don't think they will care how the gift is wrapped as long as they find a special delivery for them.

Using one giant roll of Christmas wrap from Hobby Lobby and Special Delivery tags to match.   Both were 50% off! I mean, who buys stuff if it's not on sale? I decided to go with raffia instead of ribbon to tie on the tags.   And the good part, they can be stacked right on top of one another and no smashed bow.  Because there are no bows!  How easy was that?

  7. What beautiful looking gifts, Kim! I'd be happy to receive some of those ;) I love those tags, simple but super effective and pretty. And the ribbon is perfect [and stackable lol]. I think this year for Christmas, I'm going with the vintage look. Brown packaging paper, bakers twine in pretty colours, washi tape and brown tags but written with pastel metallic pens. People will think I'm weird but who cares.
