Mini Tiered Wedding Cake Tutorial~

I don't know if you remember when I participated in a Twelve Days of Christmas project with Brie of Darling Doodles and made this Mini Santa Cake?  Brie is a super sweet blogger and a very talented and busy lady.  With a busy summer schedule she asked me to help her out and I was more than happy to do so!!  This time I'm sharing another mini ~

Mini Wedding Cake!
 
These mini tiered cakes went together quite easily.

Here's the three tiered cake pan I used~
 
I tried several ways to decorate these cakes. 
(I made extra for that reason, okay and maybe so I could eat one!)
Make several flowers ahead of time and let them dry before placing on top of the cake.  This is the flower design I made using a mold and filled the center with a grey sugar pearl~
 

I baked mini vanilla cakes and let them cool on a wire rack.
 

 Start by piping butter cream frosting around the top of each layer using a basket weave tip.


Next, using a star tip, pipe a swirl covering the top.


Sprinkle the top with yellow candy pearls.


Next, hold the cake over a paper plate and sprinkle with sugar crystals.

Using the same star tip pipe rows of frosting vertically around the side of each layer~
 
 
Add the flower to the top and a few more sugar pearls on the tiers.
I served these mini cakes at each place setting of a bridal shower I hosted.

  9. Close my mouth....these cakes are so adorable/beautiful. I want to get one of
    these pans....you are so adventurous.
    May I ask how you treated the pan pre-filling? Did you use Crisco, Butter, spray Pam, or some other unknown product? I always have some kind of problem when using unusual pan shapes in getting the cake out still looking good.

    1. Thank you Lexy! I always use Baker's Joy (Spray) to coat my pans before baking. Just make sure you spray in EVERY corner and they should pop right out!
