I may have heard this saying once or twice in my life and maybe not even around Halloween! Hmmm? Anyway, I've had this witch cutter for years and have never used it. And then it popped into my head to make it a Flying Witch Cookie Pop!
Witch on a Stick!
Witch on a Stick!
By trimming the cookie before baking, adding a broom, she'll be flying in no time at all!
Start with a witch cutter, brown paper bag, scissors and short cookie sticks.
Cut the side off the bag and you'll have two pieces of paper.
Cut into the double piece of paper, making several cuts.
Roll around the sticks and hot glue the end of the paper together.
Pull the broom off the stick and take a tiny rubber band, twist tightly around the top part of the bristles. Set aside for later.
Now you need to bake your witch cookies.
Roll your dough thick and cut witch.
Remove excess dough and trim the broom off the cookie before baking.
Insert the broom stick through the dough.
Add a bit more dough for the witch hand on the broom.
Place on baking sheet and bake.
As soon as you remove the cookies from the oven, insert another cookie stick (white) to help her fly.
Fill with black royal icing and sprinkle with black edible glitter.
Now she's ready to fly!
It was such a long flight, that I got a few things brewing for her return~
Ready for landing...
A Caramel "Wrapple" Party!
Fill your cauldron with apple slices and mini cauldron's with lots of goodies!
And to make it even sweeter, caramel wrap spider webs!
Here's how~
Remember Caramel Apple Wraps?
Cut them out into any desired Halloween shape and serve with apples!
To put a little zoom in your broom, drizzle chocolate over top.
I hope you can stop by for a spell!
Best Witches!
Ahhh! I love that little broom!! SO cute, Kim :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer - just right for my little witch cookie, right?
DeleteGenius idea to add the broomstick to the witch cookie. She looks amazing flying across the moon. Your caramel apple party idea is fantastic. I've serve whole caramel apples at parties, and have found that people eat about half of the apple, so slices are perfect. Your caramel spider web is such a fun idea too.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who would only eat a half of a caramel apple, but I guess this is one solution! :)
