The Partiologist: Jingle Bell Cake Pops!

Jingle Bell Cake Pops!

By adding a jingle bell to the packaging, they are the prettiest cake pops around.  Don't you know by now, it's all about the packaging?  It doesn't hurt the cake pops are tasty and pretty, even without the packaging.  Oh What Fun!

Jingle Bell Cake Pops!

I've had this plan since the beginning of my Christmas plans.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Make cake pops, drizzle and sprinkle with gold stars and white non pareils, then spray with gold dust.

Can you see the sparkle?

And then there is the packaging.  The prettiest packaging.

Tied with gold and white cord and a jingle bell.

Pretty, Pretty Packaging!

The fun started in my kitchen.

How to make a cake pop you ask?

This is how.

Start with your favorite cake recipe and bake.

After it is baked and cooled, trim the dark sides and top.  Then eat... eating the extra cake is what makes these cake pops such fun to make.

Cut into squares and place in Cuisinart.

Mix until cake is combined and holds it's shape.

(You can also add frosting to the mixture if desired)

Use any mold or form by hand into small round balls.

Set aside.

Chose the color of candy melts and melt in microwave safe jar.

Thin the candy melts with a small amount of Crisco, (not oil) if needed.

Or use Wilton candy melt pot.

Gather straws or lollipop sticks.

Dip the end of each straw into the candy melts and then into the cake ball.

Set aside and let harden.

Dip the entire cake pop into candy melts, covering the entire pop.

Let harden.

Next, fill a pastry bag with melted candy melts and drizzle across the cake pop.

Immediately sprinkle with white non pareils and edible gold stars.

Spray with Rich & Roxy gold dust.

Insert into cellophane bag and tie with cord and bell.

Place in box and tie with cord, bell and tag.

The tag is no longer available, however I found other tags that would look great on this box!

Oh What Fun!

  3. These are stunning and look almost too beautiful to eat. Not one detail was missed from the drizzle, to the edible gold stars, to the gold dust. Then there is the packaging. The gold straws, gold and white twine look beautiful but I think the bells with the oh what fun take just put these cake pops in on a whole new level. Love how the tag ties into the bells with the song. No detail was missed on this one. from, twobeautifulgirls
